This is gross and TMI...but have any of you post-op people experience any diarrhea? I seem to go maybe 2 times a day since surgery. I am deinking enough fluids so as I don't get dehydrated!

    return to work

Taking two weeks off. I should be fine by then. I think 2 weeks is optimal. You'll be bored and want to go back by then lol

    Depression Meds?

Yes. Been on zoloft for two years and had to stop it for 6 days after surgery, but I'm back on it now. Early on post-op you will have to crush it. I think it's quite possibly the worst taste ever!
  6. I know that feeling! Best ever

    The Rumble Down Under

I wish I could burp more too!
  9. So...can someone explain in full detail what it feels like to be full with your new pouch? How do you know? How many bites can you eat? I'm only a few days post-op but already dreaming of solid food stage in a few weeks lol
  10. So I start full liquids Wednesday. I'm allowed the usual stuff most of you guys were able to have, but also included on the list is blenderized soups....but wouldn't that be more suitable for the pureed stage? I'm not complaining lol, but it seems odd, right??

    Full liquid stage confusion

Ahhh gotcha! Makes much more sense. I was going to put already made black bean Soup in a can and put it in the blender...but you're right, the consistency would be too thick and more suitable for pureed stage. Thanks so much for clarifying!

    Not sure what to expect!

It's a real concern of mine! I son't want to stretch my pouch unintentionally. I think I will try measuring food.

Nope, hunger's there. VSG eliminates the hormone producing hunger apparently (for some) but RNY doesn't!

    Relationships after rny!

My 9 year relationship has been on the rocks lately and I feel this surgery will cause even more tension. It's a lot of changes, new goals, new confidence, priorities change, and it's a big transition.

    Hunger dorsnt go away?

Only VSG surgery removes the hormone that stimulates hunger, from my understanding, not rny.

    My Pouch Is Trippen

I'm not sure my pouch likes very cold crystal light....it pretty much made that known immediately with weird monster, alien-like sounds!

    Stomach growling

I got so scared! I'm a few days post-op. I was sipping very cold crystal light and all of a sudden, it sounded like there was an angry monster in my stomach. It just kept making scary, LOUD noises! I recorded it because I was so weirded out/shocked. Wtf is it?!! Lol
