    Eggs

How are they bad for your pouch? I will be living off of them b/c of the Protein content and low calories.

Possible to dump on pain meds?

There is no way it could be dumping from painkillers...there's no calories, fat, or sugar! Painkillers DO cause the type of side effects you described though if their is an intolerance. Maybe you could try sticking with straight Tylenol? Narcotics tend to produce some nasty side effects for some people.

    Lol

It's alright! I'm two weeks post-op and interning, working, and going to grad school full-time, so I'm more than tired when I get home lol. I was ready to go back, but being that I'm so busy, it's hard to get in all the recommended Water and Protein throughout the day. When do you go back?

    A stricture 2 weeks out?

I too had a kink/twist in my small intestine causing a blockage. Nothing would stay down; I was SO sick. It was found during the swallow test. 2 days after surgery, I had emergency surgery to correct it and felt so so so so much better. It was a very difficult time for me emotionally and physically, but I'm good now. Better to get it over with now. Good lick!
  12. 22lbs lost and stuck at a stall 2 weeks out as well

    Newbie aboard

What happens with eggs? Im eating my first meal since surgery 1/15...a scrambled egg. I love it. Am I expected to have some kind of difficulty?
  16. I am 2 weeks out tomorrow and will FINALLY (I repeat, FINALLY) be able to have some food...even if it is pureed. I was told to stay away from cream-based soups, so I will be pureeing a lot of minestrone chicken noodle type soups as well as lentil soup. I will also be having scrambled eggs tomorrow and very mashed egg salad with FF mayo. I also plan on having butternut squash mashed real good and mashed potatoes. I don't plan on blenderizing EVERYTHING, because that's nasty, but I plan on doing what I can, and then just chewing chewing chewing the soft foods to an almost pureed consistency. I tried greek yogurt, and I loved it before surgery, but it seems to sweet for me. I just want SALT!!
  17. I did a 6 month "diet" if you want to call it that. I mostly remained the same weight through the 6 months minus a 3 pound weight loss, then re-gain. I didn't go hardcore dieting. I could have, but didn't. I used that time to mentally prepare for the surgery. I also used that time to enjoy the foods I wanted to have in moderation (somewhat) because literally after the surgery (and it comes fast), you will not be able to eat the same things again, and you will mourn those foods...trust me. It's all up to you. I have no regrets!
  18. 2 weeks out, down 22 pounds including 2 week pre-op liquid diet...but hit a little stall! lol

    Extreme thrist

I'm 2 weeks post-op and have extreme thirst. I can't seem to quench it no matter how many little sips I take. I think the problem for me is I just want to gulp down my water so bad, but know that's not possible =/

    Insomnia

YES!! Tomorrow is 2 weeks post-op. I wake up through the night like 5x which I've never done and I can't sem to sleep past 9:30am. I'm usually a big napper, and I can't do that either. Why do you guys think there's such a huge change in sleep after rny? More energy b/c of the weight loss??
