Feeling very depressed
jerz replied to Paul Starrett's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I know how you feel. For a few weeks I was very depressed...crying for no reason and suicidal thoughts. I find that walking with my iPod and my dog helped a lot as well as reaching out to close friends. SD:1/28/13 HW:358 SW:338 CW:297 -
Does anyone regret having the surgery. If you do why
jerz replied to marypip's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
At first I regretted it because I had open RNY and was in so much pain and scar tissue hurt like hell and recovery time was longer. Then I started feeling crappy, 24 hour nauseousness, no energy and super tired all the time combined started to depress me and I had suicidal thoughts all the time. But as everyone told me...that passed and I'm feeling much better. And to top it off, after over 10 years of failures, I'm pregnant! So now...no regrets!! SD:1/28/13 HW:358 SW:338 CW:297 -

What ya eating tonight?
jerz replied to OleHippieGal's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
WW smart ones roasted turkey breast and mash. Didn't eat the mashed potatoes and ate 1/2 the turkey. Pouch & baby are ok with it :-) SD:1/28/13 HW:358 SW:338 CW:297 -
I searched the threads and I didn't see this topic posted. And if it was and was answered, I apologize for repeating it. My question is about liquid/water requirements. Does pre made Protein shakes and 100% fruit juice qualify towards the required 64oz daily goal? Also, thank you to all of your for your previous help and support. You guys are the kindest people that I've even encounted online. Your posts make me smile, laugh and at times cry. Thank you for welcoming me to the RNY family! SD:1/28/13 HW:358 SW:338 CW:297

jerz replied to Pam Peltz's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A

I am a food network junkie. Diners Drive Ins and Dives is my Fav show. My husband asks me why do I watch it all the time and I answer "just because youre on a diet, doesn't mean you can't look at the menu" LoL SD:1/28/13 HW:358 SW:338 CW:297

My surgeon prescribed Prilosec and Actigall for his patients to prevent ulcers and gallstones. You can buy Prilosec over the counter if you like. SD:1/28/13 HW:358 SW:338 CW:297

I had a dream last night/this morning that I took a pregnancy test and it was positive. So this morning, out of curiosity I took one. It's positive! Wtf?! I took 2 more and the same outcome! I've been trying for over 10 years to have another baby. Idk what to think or how to feel. I feel like one of those clueless teenagers "I didn't know it could happen to me!" Even if you've been trying unsuccessfully for a long time, be careful!! SD:1/28/13 HW:358 SW:338 CW:297

Thanks ladies. Waiting on surgeon to call me. My gyn doesn't do obstetrics anymore so I need to find one. The surgeon is taking forever to call me. Do y'all think I would be considered high risk or would a reg OB work? SD:1/28/13 HW:358 SW:338 CW:297
