  1. Try to drink anything that has electrolytes.... Yo'll feel mch better!
  2. Yes it does get easier!!! I bought a 2oz measuring cup and just eat that much. Sometimes I can eyeball it, but depending on the consisteny i can eat a bit more and i have to stop myself...
  3. Its b/c you're not drinking enough water!!!!! I have that too if I don't drink my full 64oz
  4. I did too... Not much. It took longer to Heal. Also bc I was wearing spanx to tighten everything up and it was prob rubbing against that area as i moved around.. i sprayed some neosporin on it and it healed in 2 days
  5. I did Isopure (the ones that are bottled)... For food I had the sugar free pudding, sugar free apple sauce, sugar free carnation instant Breakfast, panera bread french onion Soup (yummy... Just strain the chunky parts and no cheese on top), dannon light n fit yogurt, squash pureed, sweet potato smashed, chicken broth, chicken soup well chewed, sugar free popsicles and fudgesickles, I also drank that EAS carb control shake (eeew).... Its tough, but hang in there... It'll pass!
  6. Me too!! And it does get better!!! Before, at about 8pm... i couldnt even stand straight bc my back Hurt so bad... After surgery, my energy lasts til Abt 11pm... Lol. I think that back pain right after surgery is ue to us using our backs to lean down, i was picking Stuff up, bending... And trying not to use My stomach muscles so i Was using my back.. It goes away!!
  7. Hi Amanda! I had the same prob the 1st and 2nd wk out! I was going nuts! Watching tv mad eit worse (allthe food commercials), just think of this: you'll be able to eat them in the future, with cautious! It'll pass! I'm on my 4th wk, still on the blended/pureed diet and it's almost gone! I got through family bbqs, camping trip with the most delicious foods, people eating mcdonald's... And i just tell myself those foods are not worth it! They taste yummy For abt 10 mins. And thats it!!!

  10. Hi guys!!! Is 11g of carbs a crazy amount? I love coconut Water and it has a ton of electrolytes.... I just looked at the label and foind out is has 11g of carbs..... What # of sugar, fat and carbs are safe?

  12. My first weigh in. Very disappointing Height: 5'2 Starting weight: 231 Surgery:215 Today (4th wk post op): 195-197lbs I'm not losing any... :-(
  13. I played soccer at the beach and volleyball. I was fine. But i was holding a bottle of water the whole time...
  14. Hey guys... So I am 1 wk shy of 1 month post op. lost total of 19lbs in this time (not happy about)... I don't think it's enough. Could it be that I am not drinking enough Protein? And not eating enough calories? My stomach can barely take anything... So I stick With the carnation instant Breakfast, some fruits... So frustrated. The scale won't move!!! Aaaah!!! Stuck at 196 :-/
  15. Hi Joanna... i decided to stay away from the scale. I notice myself getting smaller... But he scale is barely moving!!

  17. I waited a little before a wk! Jut make sure to use protection... Iam on nuvarig an still use a condom!
  18. Also yogurt, the light n fit. Those are great!! I would blend that wih some protein powder and cottage cheese
  19. I would also stay away from the potatoes... Am on my 4th wk post op. i tried them twice and got terribly sick and nauseous! On my past week I could only hold down an 1oz of the carnaion instant Breakfast?!?! And water! I ate squash... When i craved something salty, i roasted garlic in a bit of olive oil... Then put in the squash ad cooked it... Then pureed. Never had the pureed eggs. Hate eggs. Maybe you can have scrambled eggs...?!? I'm mt sure if you have a panera bread, but i ate their frenh onion soup. Its low in calories and delish!

  21. All of that sounds great! I'm extremely frustrated....doesn't seem like I get full. Even though I watch my portion. I'm on my 4th wk post op. Weight is coming off extreeemely slow. I love 2 lbs, gain 1... Feels like I went through this for nothing...
  22. Hi... Dont feel discouraged. I too feel the same exact way! Have had those same thoughts and keep thinking "what if i'm in that % where surgery doesnt work?". I bought a 2pz measuring cup and measure my foods, sometimes i feel i can eat a whole yogurt but stop myself. I too have tries unhealthy things to feel "normal". And it didnt hurt or kill me. But the guilt sets in and I walk it out. Hang in there! You'll get through
