  1. What does it feel like when you get full? I'm 4 days post op & still on clear liquid diet. I'm still sore & gassy so I've just been sipping here & there. I don't know what to look for & am afraid of overeating.

Sent from my HTC Sensation 4G using RNYTalk

Idk either . I think I am under eating because I am afraid of over eating ....

  2. Just emailed the Protein food list. Carb loading is important for intense exercise like a marathon or any kind of exercise where you're going to be burning a lot of energy. Carbs are king when it comes to energy. Just look at what the Olympians eat on the day of a competition - some of those guys eat 6000 calories for breakfast. Not sure why your increase of carbs would result in your being sluggish the next day. Possible that you're expending so much energy on heavy exercise days that you're exhausting the carbs and what you're feeling the next day is just the absence of carbs.

I'm pretty much stumped by the pain. Nuts are rich in poly and monounsaturated fats. Unfortunately that doesn't give me any ideas regarding what the cause of the pain might be. Possibly an ulcer? Are you seeing your surgeon tomorrow? The surgeon might be the best bet for diagnosing that pain. You also might want to look at what you have eaten preceeding the times when the pain surfaces. If it's an ulcer (or pre-ulcer)' date=' you may be able to identify what food or foods trigger it. Your doctor would probably like to know how long after you eat the pain occurs as well. That might help them narrow down if it's the pouch or lower in the small intestine or not related to the digestive tract at all. I'd be interested to hear what they say![/quote']

Can I have the list as well ?

  3. I hear so many post-ops talk about gas pain and for someone who is pre-op like myself' date=' how would you describe it? What does it feel like?

My sister just got her surgery done on the 25th, and is experiencing gas pain. I'd like to know sort of what she's feeling! I also would like to know as a way to prepare myself for when it's my turn :)[/quote']

It feels like terrible air pressure ! Almost like gigantic bubbles . Like you have to pass gas and can't . Extreme bloating ! It's a throbbing pain !

Need I go on ? Lol

  4. So...i went in for my last appointment and I have gained 10 lbs since DEC when I first started. I too' date=' have been eating away...mourning food. The nurse says she wants me back down to my original weigh in weight before they schedule me for surgery so I have to lose weight, even tho they are applying for approval tomorrow. Sadly I dont even know how to lose 10 pounds, help???!!![/quote']

  5. Yea I hear ya. My youngest daughter is pretty heavy into competitive cheer and is a Lil bummed out that she's not a flyer anymore. She's 11 and is gonna be built like me. She's all' date=' "Dad! I'm a captain not a base!!" I had to give her the "Captains do what's best for the squad" speech.

    Cheer Dad in full affect!![/quote']

That's what I like to hear! I went from captain in high school to freshman no one on the squad ! Lol i wish her the best because bases carry the team . Without them, no one could fly ;)
