In Canada its free but years of waiting. hhhh i waited 7 years. when they called me a few months ago i completely forgot i was waiting for this surgery. funny !!!

i think its normal at the beginning, that after a few month we still look weired because the weight lose is not proportional and the face looks pale. but it all will go away. you have to be proud that you got this opportunity to do the surgery. you have to understand as well that when people know you as a big person and all of a sudden your face look thin as a fish, it looks weired to them. everyone will allways compliment you,.

same thing for me. i have been told it because i dont consume enough calories.
but i think it is because the body is in shock. it will continue burning the fars for sure. i only took down 1.5 pound in the last 2 weeks.

I have numbness and tikling in my left knee. it happend after a surgery i had on it. they fixed a tendant tare . it happend 4 years a go and the numbness gradually went down. what i did is some exercise in bed . i searched youtube for some exercises i can do for people who had a tendant repair in the knee. just remember that if you exercise the numbness area it should be a gentil exercise. good luck.

My doctor ask me to be off work for 6 weeks.
i returned to work on week 3 for a few hours a day. the main issue was weekness.
the first 3 days i took small pills "morphium" they give me for pain, i took 1 at night for sleep. then i took crushed tylanol pills for some pain i got in the sciatic nerve.
Good luck

Make sure u concentrate on drinking every few minutes arround 5minutes, small zips, i used a straw to drink from. u will get dehydrated if u dont drink enough. its not a funny thing. i know i did get dehydrated, felt dizzy tired and breathless, had to go to hospital for that.
Good luck

I am scheduled for.surgery on july 2nd a week from monday and am freaking out. I am personally scared Sh!?less. I am not sure why all of a sudden i am worried.of the unknown. Will i make it off the table? Is this the rightthing to do? Is this selfish of.me to put myself first by doing this.surgery insteadof spending the two weeks vacation doing something with my family. Then it kicks in if i want to be around for my family I NEED TO DO THIS. i am 365 pounds and am 35 on the 28thof this month. I know ineed to but is it the right time. I have high blood pressure diabetes and high cholesterol.the preop check up went great they said i have a heartof a bull but i have the courage of the cowardly lion right now. Any thoughrs or input would be appreciated.i went through the same taughts before last tuesday when i had the gastric bypass. it scared the hell out of me a day before. i was sure i wont wake up, i said to my self is it realy worth it ? i waited 5 years for the surgery and heard many good stories and many not very very good. i decided to go with positive energy to the surgery.the surgery went perfectly good. the recovery is not very easy, because it is a complicated surgery. make sure your family and friends understand and support you.
What does gastric bypass FEEL like?

I can say one thing. No matter what u will go through. it is going to change your life. I am 11 months after and 149 pounds lighter. i feel amazing. this is the 2nd best achievment in my life. the 1st best achievment was getting married. The first 6 first weeks were the most difficult, some weired sensation in stomich at the begginig before have the staples taking out, allot of dehydration and weekneses for a few weeks. it all went away after 6 weeks. Good luck.
