  1. I didn't get an unfill with either of my babies. My PA got angry with me after my son was born and said I could've killed him. That was bullship! I haven't been back to that doctor since then! After my first I got a fill to help get the baby weight off but I was so tight I couldn't even drink water. My daughter is 8 weeks old and I didn't get a fill or unfill with her. I am having issues eating right now so I think my hormones are screwing with me. I wouldn't recommend a fill until you are done breastfeeding...maybe that's what's making it weird for me! I am filled to 6/10 and I had no issues eating during pregnancy...just now! I'm hoping this passes soon cuz I'm hungry!
  2. If you feel like you're not getting enough food why don't you add something like 2% chocolate milk...good protein and carbs for a quick pick me up. I am going in for a fill while I breastfeed because I'm not losing any weight & I hope I don't have any issues afterwards...

  4. It seems like every time I log on the chat has either changed or I can't get into it anymore...frustrating!
  5. I was afraid that would happen so I only allowed a little bit of an unfill...my dr said they would give me a fill if I still gained too much. I gained 40 pounds and now still have 20 to loose to get back to where I was before Pregnancy. Can you talk to your LB dr and see what the options are?
  6. I feel your pain...I gained 20 pounds with the pregnancy and I want to get a fill too- but i think I'll wait until I'm done BF. I want to get pregnant again in a year, but not until I drop 40 pounds....which is SO hard without a fill!
  7. Thanks for all your replies and voting! We named the baby Sebastian Ezra & he was happy & healthy!
  8. I don't get any errors...just a big empty box. I'm not sure what's up either!
  9. The band helped me out a lot, but I also used an ovulation kit and took metformin to regulate my periods. We got pregnant the first try after all three of these...
  10. My dr let me make the decision. Stand up for yourself and maybe offer to take out a little and keep in touch about what you're feeling. Some people get really nauseated and need to be unfilled. I let them take out just a little bit and I have gained about 25 pounds- which I am okay with. It's nice to be able to eat some during the pregnancy- but I can't wait to lose it again!
  11. Hi everyone! I can't ask my family for opinions on baby names because they just make fun of the names! I thought a roughly anonymous poll on the lap band forum would be interesting!
  12. I did not get an unfill in the first trimester because I didn't have any vomiting and I could eat. I lost about 7 pounds in the first trimester from nausea. In the second trimester, the dr made me unfill a little. I have been able to eat as much as I want since then and I have gained about 15 pounds....that kinda sucks, but I think it won't be too hard to lose after the baby. I still have 16 weeks to go and I hope I don't gain too much more. I'm weighing in at 218 now. I feel like I am in much better health after losing 70 pounds since surgery. Don't let that BIATCH dr get you down. She must yell at all of her patients like that if she expects them to be 120 pounds. Welcome to America! We're fat here! grrrrrrrr......forget her and be happy with baby! YEY & congrats! Welcome to the preggers and banded club!
  13. Michelle- We got pregnant on the first try so keep your fingers crossed. It only takes once (remember your parents warning you about that?)!
  14. I can feel mine if I pull my big fat belly all the way up and then push on the bum there. I don't feel very pregnant though...except for food aversions. I don't like to eat ANYTHING. I've lost 7 pounds and I hope this passes soon because I'm hungry!
  15. I had to sign a paper for 18 months. I got pregnant after 9 and they didn't sue me or anything! It's just to make sure you understand the concerns due to the surgery.
  16. This idea of keeping it a secret is a little weird to me. I told everybody I knew about the surgery except my students. Now that I'm pregnant, I'm not telling anyone about my pregnancy. I feel like I will be more likely to stereotyped for being pregnant than I was for trying to get skinny!
  17. I've found three things that help with my all day sickness....lighting a cinnamon scented candle, taking a nap, and taking a bath....oh and eating soda crackers helps a little- but you can't eat that many with the band. It sucks to be stuck and then have morning sickness on top of that!
  18. Hi! I finally get to join this chat! I hope my doc doesn't get miffed at me- it's only been 9.5 months since my surgery & I've only lost 66 pounds. YEY ANYWAY!:smile2:
  19. Does anyone know of a good vegetarian multivitamin for bariatric patients?
  20. I have to admit I spit some of the membranes out after I had chewed it up really well. I little gross- but still yummy!
  21. I count calories at the daily plate.com
  22. I'm trying to get 2 fruits and 2 veggies a day...but not sure about this giant orange I just ate....whew am I full!
  23. have you asked your doc? My hospital sells them in their pharmacy...
  24. I chose to have my surgery in Greeley. It's a great excuse to go to Ft Collins and shop whenever I have an appointment. I loved Dr Johnnell in Greeley & I wouldn't have gone to anyone else. He has SO much experience and a great track record for awesome results. I had a friend who went to Cheyenne to get her surgery & her Dr turned out to be a real douche. She tried to transfer to Dr Johnnell and he wouldn't let her because he was afraid the douche would sue him (again). As long as you are going through a female Dr in Cheyenne- you definitely don't have the douche!
  25. Yes, I can't do solid food for breakfast or else I pb at work...as a teacher that can be VERY frustrating & embarassing. Right now I'm having my TOM so I'm even tighter in the morning.
