I'm crying with you. As a fellow pet mom, I understand how much love you had for your baby and how hard that must've been. I know she is so thankful that she had a kind & loving owner who allowed her to be free of all the pain she was going through. If you are religious and believe in heaven, I highly recommend reading The Rainbow Bridge. It talks about a place where all our pets go when they pass and how they happily wait, free of pain & sadness, for us until we are reunited with them in heaven. I know it brought me so much peace. *Big Hugs*

decisions, decisions
bebeandkoko replied to sageandcoyesmommy's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
This is a hard one for sure! I think as long as you know for sure you can do the next class & still have the surgery at a later date, you should choose to be there with your daughter on her first day. Like somebody said, her starting school is a once in a lifetime event. And even though it isn't anything major academically, it is a big deal emotionally, as I'm sure you know(: On the first day, I'm sure they will have lots of fun first day activities/bonding moments that she should get a chance to experience. But with that being said, I think everybody would understand if you made the decision to keep her home and get started on your journey to health, so that you'll be able to see all her other firsts in life! Good luck & let us know what you decide! -
Weird question--but does your shoe size change?
bebeandkoko replied to hermione394's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Absolutely! I haven't had surgery yet but my mom did, she went from a tight 11 to very comfortably fitting in a 10 & some 9 1/2s. You will probably go down at least a size! -
That's wonderful! 50 pounds off and gone forever! Go you(:

Magnesium citrate, when will it stop?
bebeandkoko replied to ponchik's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I haven't actually had to do this yet, but know people who have. They all say it doesn't stop until your system gets cleared out. So it could be awhile longer:( I know how much that must suck but just think about it as some extra pounds lost Lol Good luck! -
Nope, it's not wrong at all. Everybody deserves to know what it feels like to fit in and not be counted out just because of your weight! I'm the same age as you and I know exactly where you're coming from. I can't wait to be "normal" Lol

Are there other plans you can change to, when open enrollment rolls around, that will cover it?

Do you have an hmo or ppo plan? I have uhc (choiceplus hmo through AT&T) and it is excluded as well. My surgeons office called me the day of my first appt. basically giving me the same speech you got, about how if it is excluded it is a lost cause as far as going through insurance:/ Does your employer offer any other plans?
