The first day of the two week liquid diet is a bit*h.

Surgery is December 31 by Dr. Michael Peters in Newark, Delaware.

CRUSHING MEDICATION. I was told that I could crush my medication and put it in applesauce. That does make sense, but has anyone put it in their protein shakes or is that not a good idea?

I wish I could have gotten a 5:30 am surgery. Would have worked better with my partner's work schedule.

I have a preop appointment on Wednesday. My paperwork went in last Thursday. I am hoping he will put me on the liquid diet and have a tentative surgery date.

Paperwork sent to insurance for approval on November 28th. Appointment with surgeon on December fifth. Hope to be approved by that appointment.

Can anyone give me an idea how long Aetna takes to approve? I am really hoping their quicker than some people are telling me. Some tell me they are slow and some people tell me they are quick.

Counting down. Nutritionist had a lot of appointment. I see her on 8/16. Looks like if everything goes right, my surge.ry will be in December. Which it could be sooner.

Fortunately I already did a sleep study and they think they may be able to use my chest X-ray and blood work from my regular doctor. They we only about 3 months ago.

Everything went well at Consultation. Now it is time to start making Doctor and Dietician appointments.
