  1. You know I've only heard that from larger people. I told one of my regulars at Starbucks that I had it and he says "oh okay so you cheated" and the man had a stomach so far out that it was ridiculous. It's hard to get mad when those who could seriously benefit from the surgery get pissy - Kaylee Ann ~ Surgerversary 6/11/2012
  2. Yeah I take 4 calcium citrate horse pills from Walgreens daily. 2 in the am and 2 in the pm but always forget the pm - Kaylee Ann ~ Surgerversary 6/11/2012
  3. I find that I take more medications by choice than are required by my surgeon now. He requires b12, Calcium, a Multivitamin and Iron. I also take Biotin for hair, Vitamin e in hopes that it'll help my skin, an acid reducer because I've had ulcers in the past but no one told me to take them, and then my general birth control and allergy pills etc. I just added the vitamin e to my regiment but I feel like I keep adding pills to my inventory to take daily. Is anyone slowly but surely doing this too? I feel like I'll end up buying out the vitamin shop eventually. - Kaylee Ann ~ Surgerversary 6/11/2012
  4. I'm all the way to the left. Not the best shot since I'm hunched over but the most recent none the less. 168.8lbs SW: 263 - Kaylee Ann ~ Surgerversary 6/11/2012
  5. Well Costco sells "Kirkland" stuff so I bet if you looked online for either you could probably find how they could send it to you And you're welcome I have such a hard time finding food I love that I don't feel guilty for post op so when I find gold like this I have to share - Kaylee Ann ~ Surgerversary 6/11/2012
  6. I get them at costco. It's roasted seasoned seaweed and it is delicious!!! (If you like seaweed that is, which I do) they remind me a little bit of kale chips and they're salty and crispy and delicious and ugh I live on these. Apparently seaweed is also a really good dark green veggie so it seriously helps me get veggies in. For an entire box (27 packs) is only like 10 dollars at Costco. I'd seriously recommend them to everyone! Especially to those who love sushi like me - Kaylee Ann ~ Surgerversary 6/11/2012

    Anyone tried sushi yet?

    Grade 1 fish? - Kaylee Ann ~ Surgerversary 6/11/2012

    Anyone tried sushi yet?

Is sashimi just cut up fish? Because I've never had it - Kaylee Ann ~ Surgerversary 6/11/2012
  9. Man does myfitnesspal help. I never used it because I found it frustrating and I didn't want to bother and my nutritionist told me not to worry about calories. My brother (6 years post op and incredibly successful) in turn tore me a new ahole for not counting my calories and basically keeping track of what I'm eating, so I sucked it up and tried again and HOLY CRAP some of the crap I've been eating is so highhhhh in calories like almonds and milk and HALF & HALF OH SWEET JESUS HALF & HALF IS SO NOT OKAY TO DRINK lol. Idk I guess all I'm saying is when I started recording what I ate I really realized what I was doing (which wasn't TOO bad but not perfect) and was able to adjust accordingly. I would really suggest this app to anyone who wants long term success. I found out I eat anywhere from 600-900 calories a day, which my brother told me is normal for someone 6 months post op. - Kaylee Ann ~ Surgerversary 6/11/2012

  11. Oh. My. God. That. Sucks. - Kaylee Ann ~ Surgerversary 6/11/2012
  12. I don't know why. It's that way with it without surgery. By older I mean 50+. No one in my local support group that is older has lost as much as the youngyins like me - Kaylee Ann ~ Surgerversary 6/11/2012
  13. I think it's accounting for failed surgeries. Also older people never lose as much - Kaylee Ann ~ Surgerversary 6/11/2012
  14. Damn, if I only lost 60% of my excess weight I would be at 205.2lbs since I started at 276lbs and 158lbs is when my BMI will say I'm at a normal weight. I weigh 169lbs and my goal is 135lbs. That. Is. Nuts. - Kaylee Ann ~ Surgerversary 6/11/2012

    Oh my! Embarrasing!

This killed me lmao. Well at least this only happens to skinny minnies like us! - Kaylee Ann ~ Surgerversary 6/11/2012
  17. Maybe I'm just jealous because I wish I was eating cookies and soda and cocktails. - Kaylee Ann ~ Surgerversary 6/11/2012
  18. You didn't at all. I know how someone can think I'm a bitch but I have a "no bullshit" mentality. Do I struggle? Of course, but I find ways to overcome it and don't completely cave. Whether it's chewing up what I want and spitting it out or taking a mouse size bite of it just so I can taste it and then throwing the other 99.8% of it out. I just get angry when people have this surgery and then are eating crap so soon post op. It upsets me because those who fail this surgery give those of us who really work at it a bad name, so I don't want anyone to fail. Thank you for the compliment, it's much appreciated. - Kaylee Ann ~ Surgerversary 6/11/2012
  19. Exercise exercise exercise. When I'm crying and infuriated i just start running down my road. It gets all the misery out - Kaylee Ann ~ Surgerversary 6/11/2012
  20. Eh whatever. Do what you're going to do and good luck to you.
  21. I'm sorry that I can't be "nice" and "supportive" by justifying your actions. Truly I am. But the fact of the matter is that you will lose weight for the first year even if you eat a cookie and a soda every day because you're able to eat so little that you can't gain weight from it. This, however, is only TEMPORARY and if you continue down this path you will fail this surgery. If you really can't handle the reality I'm telling you, because it is the reality you're heading towards, I'm sorry. Ignore my realistic comments and enjoy reading the ones of people telling you that what you're doing is okay. I wouldn't say any of this if I I wanted you to fail. - Kaylee Ann ~ Surgerversary 6/11/2012
