  1. i have dropped 52 lbs since aug 22nd and went from a 42 waist to a size 38 or 36 depends on the maker of the jeans but feels great
  2. I am 50 lbs down in 6.5 weeks looked down and said omg it really is there
  3. Anyone know how to change the before and after photos in your profile im not dumb but cant figure it out would like to add my most recent to the after for now ...(notice the name change lol)
  4. teddybear i think everyone who has had any kind of bariatric surgery starts getting nervous i know i did a couple days out its more nerves then anything else don't worry you will be fine and the sleeve is still restrictive and they still need to take vitamins my sister is getting the sleeve i had RNY on 8/22/12 and i can tell you i was on all kinds of meds 7 weeks ago and now i just take my vitamins i have dropped 50 lbs in just over 6 weeks (everyone is different at the rate they will loose) i was a bit nervous going in but wouldn't change a thing

  6. Ok so I went to thrift store to buy some 38 shorts they didn't have any jean shorts so I tried on a size 36 and I could fit in them omg I must be 16 again
  7. Lester everyone looses at a different pace there is no formula to go by just do what your doc says and you will do fine hope all goes well with your surgery and the start with your journey

  9. i took 3 weeks as my doctor ordered could have gone back sooner if i had a desk job but i drive a truck and there is physical work involved
  10. Welcome Butterfly i also started at 301 lost 30lbs prior to surgery dos i was 269.5 6 weeks later today i am 224. I also went to the seminar thinking i would get the lapband and left there saying i wanted the bypass which is what i did i go for my 6 weeks checkup tomorrow and think i will come totally off my diabetic meds lots of support on this site
  11. i went out 3 days after surgery to a wrestling show i work with and was there several hrs i did not lifting or anything i think the more active you get after surgery the better i went back to driving my truck with a dump trailer 3.5 weeks post op and worked 65 hrs that week and was fine
  12. mizz you will do great don't worry about anything i am 6 weeks out and i must say its the best thing i ever did for myself . do they have support groups in your area ? if they do use them it helps alot. Also rnytalk is great for support so you will not be alone in this ever.
  13. so my pants have been way to big after 45 lbs gone since surgery and 30 or so before im down to 224 a guy at work today brought me some jeans his father had that were to big for him now OMG a size 38 fits good where they should be not under the big belly can't remember the last time i was in a 38 probably as a young teen maybe this journey has only begun can't wait to see where it takes me
  14. yes mami i am the only guy who lives here my wifes father comes over everyday and spends time with the kids my son is 14 with downsyndrom and plenty of health problems of his own

  16. I can tell you I am 6 weeks post op and I would do it all over again I have dropped from 270 down 225 and just don't think of the foods I know I can't eat you will love the results
  17. Most hospitals will setup a payment plan owed 1400 payed 100 day of surgery and they are setting up payment plan for rest
  18. I have monthlys to deal with I live with 4 women try that one hehehe
  19. Sf pops is my savior im 5 1/2 weeks out and still have several sf pops a day to help the fluid intake they go down so easy but yes any liquid is counted toward your fluid even sf jello counts according to my doctor.

My family has burger king ,mcdonalds,deangelos and all kinds of good stuff (not) i am 5.5 weeks out my sister even ate a pizza in front of me ill be on normal foods in 2.5 weeks and my sister is going in for a vertical sleeve cant wait for her to have it done so i can eat a little food in front of her while she is on liquids lol. Having homemade chili tonight made with ground turkey instead of hamburg. Have not had a period yet sorry lol
  21. Normal my first bm was very dark almost black and very stinky..now i just wish i could have a bm seems like its a week apart last time was last sunday and here we are sunday once again i know im not eating much buit this does get uncomfortable other then that im doing great

  23. Jeff don't worry about them it is ur decision to do this for you and you are the only one that matters in this situation if they can't be supportive no need for them to be around
  24. that is still awesome 35 lbs in 17 days i am 5 weeks out and have lost 42 lbs first couple weeks it came off like butter but has slowed down keep up the great work you look awesome
