  1. I had a c-section and this hurt worse for me. But my aunt had it and never had any pain and she had the same surgeon as me. So you never know. Hope for the best and prepare for the worst lol. If it helps I don't remember the pain anymore and it's been six months. My suggestion is walk as much as you can when you get it done it helps with the pain and the gas. For me it seemed like the gas gave me the most pain! Walking helped get rid of it. The days I didn't walk I was hurting. Good luck you will do great:-)
  2. I was with you vamp I didn't broadcast it but u was open and honest about it. Most people were very supportive and still are. Once in a while you find people who aren't so supportive but u just say its a personal choice and not for everyone.
  3. I'm so sorry that is terrible. I hope there is something that can be done.
  4. Wow I have to say I am very greatful for my insurance cuz I didn't have to pay out of pocket for anything. Thank goodness you are able to get a payment plan!
  5. Hi everyone:-) sounds like your all doing great! I started at 252 and now I'm down 92lbs!!! I want to be down another 30lbs to get me to the grand total of 122lbs lost! I'm so proud of my success so far and need the motivation to keep going:-)
  6. One of theses days you will get on the scale and be down 20lbs. Stay positive your doing great:-)
  7. Thank you that really helps I'll have to do that later after work:-)
  8. But it keeps telling me I'm under eating lol. I wish I could adjust it so it required less calories.
  9. I also had to go through the whole ordeal with my period. Was definitely uncomfortable especially when they were keeping track of how much urine I was putting out after surgery. I've been very regular but having major hormones! I'm very moody when I ovulate and crazy breast tenderness that is so uncomfortable.
  10. I know the beginning sucks but you will get threw. Try and walk it really helped me with my pain. Even if you just walk around your house it will help. The first 3 weeks were the worst for me especially when my family was eating food I cried. I know it seems like forever but it will go fast. Good luck and stay positive:-). I'm 6 months out and feel great stay focused you can do it!
  11. Sometimes it was uncomfortable and a little painful in the beginning. I used to take breaks while I walked because I would get tired fast. I would say it took to week 5 till I got my energy back. I was glad I didn't have to go back to work before that cuz I was constantly exhausted. Make sure your drinking cuz if you aren't that also can make you tired. I'm still struggling with dehydration.
  12. I found that walking really helped the gas. Even if your walking around your house get up and move. My fiancé made me walk everyday I was so miserable while doing it. But the one day I didn't walk I was in agony. I thanked him a week later for getting me moving. It really is the best way to get rid of the gas plus does help get the bowels moving too! Good luck ladies keep up the good work:-)
  13. I joined my pitnesspal ony iPhone too! Hopefully it will get me moving cuz lately I've been so not motivated!

Find it hard some days to drink all the water I'm suppose to. Dribkibg 64oz is a lot of water lol! I also drink crystal light and vitamin waters. I guess maybe I'm just sick of drinking water! I do drink an ice coffee a couple times a week which I know isn't the best but some days I gotta have my caffeine. Ive been having dizzy spells and u know it's due to dehydration so I gotta drink. If anyone has any drink suggestions I would love them thanks:-)
  15. Panda it sounds like you are doing great. As long as you don't let the negativity get you down you should be ok:-). There is always going to be those people who tall but we just have to rise above it!
  16. Such an amazing journey! Sounds like you are right on track. God bless and keep up the good work.
  17. Good job and keep up the good work! You will make it there!!!
  18. I liked the Atkins protein shakes they sold them right at wal-Mart. I liked the vanilla and strawberry ones. The chocolate ones were a bit chalky but that could just be me. Sounds like you are doing good so far though:-)
  19. My Dr told us that smoking could literally perforate your pouch and cause death. My dr refused to surgery on people who smoke because of the high risks of death. I'm not trying to scare you I'm just letting you know what I was told. I know it's not easy I was smoker 5 years ago but I know you can do it!
  20. Oh and John your baby is so cute!
  21. I'm the one on the right the other one is my fiancé. I guess with my hair back it's difficult to see that I am a women:-) maybe I should pic a different pic of just me:-)
  22. Shelb that was very brave of you to put your heart out like that. I'm sorry you have had a hard time. With anything there is negatives to the surgery. But I think for most the good out weigh the bad. It's definitely a personal choice for all of us. For me I'm so glad I did it but now I have to say I am more self counsious of my body then before. With more attention comes more insecurities. With time I hope I will be more comfortable with the new me. Before I was glad to find clothes to cover me now I search clothes that i feel cover my flappy thighs. I feel like people judge me now then before. Maybe it's just me I don't know. I still get the people saying I could never do that like its so horrible. I just smile and say its not for everyone. There is good and bad about it. All in all it's a personal choice and you need to figure that out for your self. Good luck:-)
