  1. Thank you guys for all the love and support. I can say this has been the best thing besides my wife and daughter.
  2. Thank you Jen! What part of so cal are you from? I am in the Inland Empire area
  3. I had my bypass on April 24th of this year. I lost 15 lbs with the pre op diet and now three weeks out I have lost another 30 lbs! I can't believe it! 30 freakin lbs in three weeks bringing me to a total of 45!!!! And my high blood pressure is gone! My primary doctor took me off my meds I've been on for over 8 years!!! My surgeon is so happy for me and feels because I'm young and of the male sex that I will be at my goal weight by the next few months as long as I stick to the plan. I am still in awe of how everything has gone so well. I am one happy camper.
  4. I am three weeks out and right after I woke up from surgery I noticed that my sense of smell got real sensitive. I can smell things from far away. If food has a smell I don't like I can't even think of eating it because I'm grossed out before tasting it. So not a lot of food is appealing at the moment.
  5. Im on that phase and I'm having a hard time with it. I do mashed potatoes and beans but I am burned out on it already
  6. Has any male experienced loss of sexual appetite or has had erectile dysfunction after having the gastric bypass?
  7. I do believe prayers help. I had no real pain at all after I woke up from surgery. I didn't even feel the 6 small openings. I was up and walking around a few hours after waking up. They let me go a day early from the hospital. Even at home I Have been great. No nausea or anything like that. God is good and prayers do help. I got my surgery April 24th and I am down 45 lbs so far. That includes a week of pre op diet. Keep up the good work!
  8. I got some people who were excited for me and others who told me the same thing like yourself. The way I saw it was that there are may be complications with the surgery like there may be complications with my health if I didn't get it. I was already dealing with complications with my health so what did I have to lose? I have a one year old daughter and a loving wife that of course I want to be around for. All you can do is pray and surround yourself with positive people. God knows when it's your time to go, surgery or no surgery. Don't back out. So far it's the best choice I've made and I'm barely three weeks out from my RNY. Good luck man.
