How much did every one lose on the pre op diets?

Thanks, Jen. I have my pre-op tomorrow so I figure I will get all the details while I am there. Whatever will be will be I suppose. Thank you again.

Does anyone have any experience with surgery in Mexico? Any recommendations? horror stories? anything?

I just got a letter today from the hospital that says I have to give them $9000 upfront my surgery is scheduled for 5/21 is with less than 15 days I am supposed to come up with 9k. WOW. Not sure what I am going to do. I have my pre-op appt in two days. I am going to go to that and hopefully find out some more information. Seems like a bit short notice to drop a bomb like that. Has anyone else experienced anything like that?

I seem to be settling into the idea. I am on the pre-op diet and was cranky for a couple of days. Seem a bit better now, at least I think so.

I am noticing most of you stayed in the hospital for aleast a little time...were anyof you supposed to be outpatient? And if so how long did they keep you?

I have a question. Were all you guys expecting to stay in the hospital? or were you supposed to be outpatient?

Ok so we have to do this together and encourage each other every step of the way

surgeon suggested Bariatric Advantage it is $58 for 35 servings so $1.65 a shake. I like the latte, vanilla, and chocolate. I mix and match these 3.

my pre-op diet is for a month and I am allowed either 4 8oz shakes or 3 8oz shakes and one small (less than 300 calorie and less than 20 g fat) meal. and I can switch when I need a small change. Also 64 oz of Water. I can have sugar free Jello, half cup of veg. or small salad if need be. So far so good. My shakes are much better than I had expected.
