John get out of bed! LOL Naps are ok but you don't want to spend the day there. Even if you're just shuffling around the house it's much better for you than laying in bed.
I think I speak for everyone when I say we're so happy that surgery went well for you! Congrats!

I thought it might be fun to share some food finds with each other. I'm not really talking about recipes, just things we find at the market that are really tasty, high in Protein and ready to serve or easy to cook.
It might be a good idea to name the store or website etc that you found it on.
For instance, I found at Trader Joe's
Turkey meatballs
Serving size is two meatballs
100 calories
4g of fat
5g of carbs
1g of sugar carbs
2g of Fiber carbs
12g of Protein
They come fully cooked in a 1 pound frozen bag and have no artificial color or flavor and no preservatives.
And they're really delicious!
I had trouble eating two but they are a great alternative to tuna which is getting a little boring to me.

I also believe its for both. I think it really helps with the mindset of THE SURGERY IS NOT GOING TO MAGICALLY MAKE YOU LOSE THE WEIGHT. I personally think the two week liquid diet was great because I couldn't imagine eating the way I was before and then, BAM! The next day your dealing with recovering from surgery and the fact that you're never going to be able to eat the same way again. For me, that would have been hard to handle mentally. It's hard work, but so worth it. It's kind of like a backwards weaning. LOL hope that makes sense.

I'll have to try it. I have to say as a kid my mom would make a huge pot of split pea Soup and practically force feed it to us kids. I've avoided it my entire adult life for that reason.
I'm going to give it another shot. Who knows, I might love it.

He's been extremely supportive and given out wonderful advice to me and other members.
He really is an inspiration to so many of us.

Apparently it's pretty common after large doses of antibiotics. Surgeons office phoned in a prescription for me right away and I am swishing with something the consistency of raw scrambled eggs 4 times a day for a few days, yuck!
Funny thing is I was commenting the other day on how great and clean and white my teeth looked because I haven't eaten solid food in 3 weeks. Ironic...

Got awesome news this morning, the hospital approved my payment plan. I reconfirmed with the admitting nurse and the surgeons office and now I just wait till Monday! I can't believe this is finally happening for me! So excited and scared at the same time!
