You can purchase azo over the counter for the pain until you get abx, but it will turn your urine red or orange and note the will be unable to dip the urine in office for a quick result if you have a uti. We always asked pt to call us before taking anything like that. Call your surgeon I'm sure he will call you in something.also note along with abx some cause yeast infection so have them call you in diflucan too. Hope this helps. Make sure you don't start a fever....

Yes. I'm lactose intolerant..before surgery .and it is worst now. Stay away from Atkins Protein Drinks. GNC lean are lactose free and so far so good

i ask the same question, even though your dr said your pouch is the size of an egg 2oz, do you all find you can eat more than that when it comes to certain foods? and i walk around with a water bottle, i am use to drinking 3 gallons a water a day so 64 oz is killing me... the only pain i have in just muscle pain from my incisions and the fact the past 2 nights i have been so fatigued i fell going up the stairs.. so i may just start sleeping down stairs after my husbands leaves TDY. I do hope everyone is well and happy and your families are handling your recovery well and treating y'all great..

yes, i had to get and rx for co lace, but not before doing and enema.. omg i felt much better.. I dont know what they give us ALL these pain meds and NO stool softeners.. they all know what happens when you take pain meds..HELLO...

2oz at a time. Also warm liquid may help. I found I became lactose intolerant.. I still get sick when I drink more then 2oz. I have to wait for about 5 mins and drink more the said it should take you 1 hr to drink 8oz. Hope this helps.
