  5. so amazing!!!!! great work!
  6. hi all, I'm curious as to folks who are more than 2 months pre-op who struggle with eating at night (and maybe those who are a good time post-op from the surgery too). I seem to do very well in terms of controlling my eating behaviors during the day, but once evening hits I'm hungry (and make poor choices). I'm sure it has to do with emotional eating or using food as a relaxation tool, so I have the "why" down... Do others experience this? Other than "knowing" I shouldn't be eating bad foods at night (the "what"), I'm curious as to "how" to change this behavior. Maybe I should start a food journal? Suggestions/thoughts? Thanks
  7. LOL! thanks for that haha...can't wait to see what I feel/look like at or around my goal weight

    Not Looking!

I am happy to see this too
  9. That is so awesome Angel. This pre-op weight will REALLY help in motivating you post-op, at least from what I hear from folks who have had the bypass. I had to lose some too for the band and I haven't been told to lose additional for the bypass schedule July 9. I'm hoping too lose at least about 10 lbs before surgery to help jump-start and get me more motivated. Your story (and the others on here) are definitely helping me stay focused. How did you lose your weight so far - protein/low carb/portion control/exercise? Bottom line - you are doing so well!!!!!!!!! I'm sure your surgeon and medical staff will be super excited too.

    New To All Of This

I had the band in 2008 and needed to do 6-mo work my primary care doc, education with surgery group, etc. and...lose some weight. so, I can relate but it helped me jump-start some weight loss. I'm in a different state now (literally and figuratively) and learning again...I have a new bariatric surgeon here in NC (was in MD) and we've agreed to move toward the bypass. I gained back some from band (actually to the pre-op weight). I'm scheduled for my revision to bypass surgery July 9 and can't wait. Keep us posted on your journey with all of the insurance, education, etc. We're all here to help. take care

    Home From Surgery

So good to hear. Take care of yourself. I keep hearing from friends/colleagues that walking is so important post-surgery. You'll drop those pounds - no doubt. Looking forward to reading about your progress!
  20. Amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!! So awesome. thanks for sharing Here are some of mine. My revision band-to-RNY is schedule for July 9. Liquid-only starts June 25. I'm super excited and this social networking support site has been SO helpful. Thanks to you all. pre-Lapband (2008 = 365ish) around op day band (318ish) - - lost weight pre-surgery as part of the insurance requirement.....which was a good jump start! post-band (lowest 2010 = 270ish) pre-revision band-to-RNY (May 2012 Now 318ish)...I just keep reminding myself that at least I haven't gained what I lost pre-band! I'll post some pics BEFORE surgery on July 9. I'm hoping to lose some weight before then...and I'm assuming the glorious liquid diet will help
