  1. I am sooo happy about not sharing this outside of my supportive family and friends. This was my decision because I am not interested in any negative opinions. Others are continually asking how I am doing it and I reply " I eat less and exercise more". Thats it - end of story. I may decide to tell others as I approach my goal, but I do not feel the need to right now. It is a personal choice and I am sure you will make the one. Good Luck

  2. Hi I have read your article, and it states "whey peptides provide the highest quality source of Protein known. Higher than soy. Soy offers a much lower score in biological value than whey protein isolate." they suggest a combo to reap benefits of both. I am guessing that you so want to maintain your greener lifestyle that you are not focusing on that. I can relate and have. Then I lost a lot of hair and energy. Hope you do better than I. Wishing you wellness and weight loss.:smile2:

  3. Hi Candle,

I just bought some Mederma. I have seen it suggested on this site a few times. There is a support group in East Northport on Oct 4 at 7PM I like the fact that there are only fellow Bandsters there. We get our answers from those who have first hand knowledge. Let me know if you are interested.

  4. Hi Everyone,

I had a very bad reaction to the band and was admitted to the hospital following a 9 hour ordeal in the ER last weekend. I was sliming, couldnt breath deep and felt as if my stomach was being wrung out like a dishrag. I also had to sleep propped up on the couch or my nausea would intensify. They administered pain med and antinausea meds for 2 nights, and I was released on Mon.

I saw my Doc on fri and was told this was a very unusual circumstance. He removed the 1cc of Fluid that they fill everyone getting the AP Band with.

I am now feeling terrific, thank God, because my mind was going in every horrible direction it could.

Hoping everyone else is feeling well also!!!!

    Hi Arie,

Yes, the AP Band is the newer one. Although, I really need to research it to compare. How did your post op visit go today? Was your esophagram okay? Hope you are feeling well:)

  6. Debi-Thanks, the liquid diet is just fine. I am really not hungry at all. Glad to have this opportunity to shed a few pounds! Hoping your dog is okay.

I am kind of disappointed that I am not feeling better yet. I wake up in the middle of the night with my mouth watering, very nauseous still. I called the nurse and she told me that I may have to come in to have Fluid removed from my band. I was under the impression that there was no Fluid in the band until the 1st fill. Anyone else experience this or know anything about this?:help:

  7. I have been waking up with my mouth watering, and nauseous-really bad.Last night was better. I slept propped upright on my couch and felt some relief from previous nights. Late at night and early mornings are the worst for me.I called the nurse and she told me I may have to come in and have Fluid removed from band. I was under the impression there is no fluid until 1st fill. Anybody else feeling like this or know anything about this? I am also upset that I still need pain meds.:help:
