  1. I never had a csection. But I had a lot of pain with recovery. Now 12 days out I'm almost back to normal. I was able to function throughout. My main issues were standing up and sitting down. And of course I'm not yet able to sleep in my bed;)
  2. That's my biggest fear right now. Not getting in my protein and having to choke down the awful shakes!
  3. Thanks Lynn. I was extremely excited:)
  4. 11 days and down 21 pounds:) I'll take it! Off my insulin. Call if they start to linger above 150. See ya in 4 weeks. Now for my first soft meal. After being told 1/4 cup total 12 times by the doc in 15 min. 1/2 a lobster cake and mashed potatoes!! I'm so excited.
  5. I can't even get on my tummy or side;( I surely wish I could.
  6. So my dad, who never ever says 10 words and was totally against my RNY, yelled for me as I was coming out of the bathroom. I go into his room and he says, "Just now when you passed the door I realized how much weight you've lost. It's very evident. I guess you didn't make a mistake." Made me very happy. I was beginning to wonder if I had lost any weight or if all of this was for nothing. I get my first official weigh in tomorrow. Now I'm really excited for it!
  7. Congrats! I'm graduating to soft foods tomorrow. I can't wait:) I think of all the flavors and my mouth waters!
  8. Belle, Your arsenic? I, too, quit the night before surgery. I've been fine. No cravings. In fact I was at a graduation party today and some kids were smoking. It was all coming my way, of course. I moved. Not because it made me want one but because the smell was kind of nasty.
  9. Welcome to all the newcomers:) It's been an amazing journey for me so far. And it's totally been worth it.
  10. AnnMarie when is your surgery?
  11. Hope you feel better soon Mami!!
  12. Clears for 3 1/2 days. Sick to death of broth by day 2. Full liquids for 7 days. Day 5 today. Those shakes and hot cocoa that seemed so yummy on Monday are making wabt to yack even thinking about attempting to intake them today. Ugh! Can't wait for my soft diet on Monday:) At least I can have many different options for flavors on a soft diet.
  13. No doubt! My bed- Enrique. My pillow- Julian. My car- George. I name everything I love:-)
  14. Like sleeping in my bed instead of the recliner:( The pain was gone until I tried to sleep in my bed for the first time 9 days post op!!
  15. Anyone try any Ritas sugar free Italian ice post op? Any issues with it?
  16. DL I walked, walked, walked right with the pain! I'm so absolutely petrified of any readmission or blood clots!! At least 3 times a day around the block if I couldn't make it further.
  17. Apparently it really posted each time it said it was unable to post. Don't know how to delete. Sorry!
  18. I'd love a copy when you get a chance:) aleyampat@yahoo.com. That way when I shop for my food my parents and esp my 15 yo can see what I bought specifically for me. Lol!
  19. Belle, I'm 7 days post op today. And as they all said it does get better. Yesterday I wasn't so sure I wasn't dying and today it feels like Charlie horses in my sides when I get up:) I put away wash. Took a nice long not painful shower and attempted to lay down in my bed. Yea, attempted and failed! Can't get up easy enough. But at least I can walk, talk, laugh and cough without wanting to cry!
