  1. He followed my GI tract down through the pouch and out the stoma. He said everything looks beautiful and "boy some surgeon did an amazing job!" Yup, regular as clock work. Don't get it. I was doing great until Tues/Wed. And Jenna I tried to pm you back again on myfitnesspal. 4 times I typed the message. 4 times I hit post and it deleted it. I gave up;)
  2. Nothing new as far as meds or foods. When I eat too fast or not chew enough I get epigastric pain with the nausea. I don't have that with this nausea.
  3. I has surgery 6/7. Fairly normal post op course. Pain issues that resolved. Last Tues night at 9 pm ish I became very nauseous. That was 9 weeks 5 days post op. usually means I'm hungry. I ate. The nausea got increasingly worse. I vomited around 1 am. I called the surgeon 1st thing in the am. He immediately thought stricture. Did EGD Thurs. No stricture. Upper GI tract perfect. He says it may be gall bladder but very early for that and very atypical presentation. Gave me phenergan and said if it continues until Sept appt he'll work up my gall bladder. I have no pain. Constant overwhelming nausea. The meds make it bearable but they make me tired so can't take them at work. Can't eat any solids. They come back up. Can keep down liquids. Passing gas and having normal bowel movements so not a bowel obstruction. Any opinions, suggestions, thoughts?
  4. Are you feeling any better? I tried to go without meds this morning. Yeah, not happening!!
  5. Sweet. I have family in Vineland. I'm near Hershey. So I'm about 1 1/2 hours from Sesame Place:)
  6. No blockage. No stricture. He's not sure what the nausea and vomiting is about. He said it may be the start of my gall bladder going bad but Ita awfully soon. I have an appt in Sept and if it continues he'll do another u/s. For now I have nausea meds. They are helping greatly and I can eat small amounts of solid foods again without feeling 2 seconds from puking.
  7. The pool in my back yard and then Dorney Park at 5 weeks post op.
  8. And now I see that apparently we are in the same boat right now! I hope you're feeling better;)
  9. Thanks. Still at home. Popsicles are staying down. But I do wonder if I shouldn't have gone in just for nausea meds. This nausea is ridiculous!!! My legs have been cramping so I'd bet my potassium is low too. Guess I'll find out in the am:(
  10. Been vomiting since last night. Intense constant nausea. Can't keep anything down but Popsicles. Called the on call surgeon. He says he's 100% sure it's a stricture. EGD tomorrow morning. If I stop being able to hold down popsicles I have to be admitted today for fluids. I'm gonna keep fighting that.
  11. Hershey area. Surgery at Osteopathic Hospital in Harrisburg.
  12. Rounded Red.... I used to live in the apartment complex across from Roosevelts property. Well kinda across and diagonal. Lol! I know the feeling. I say I'm from Hershey cause no one knows my one stop light town:)
  13. I can use my iPhone so I can't see why you can't use an iPad.
  14. Have an interview today. Put on my "interview outfit" and certainly 40 lbs down my slacks are gappy and too large. My shirt is also too big but is passable. So I think to myself I'll indulge and buy a new outfit. I go to Lane Bryant (where my current outfit is from) and try on one size smaller shirts and 2 size smaller pants. Shirts too tight (not really but its too tight for my liking) and can't even get the pants up. I think ok so I'm only down 1 size in pants and the same size still in shirts. I get the next size larger pants. Umm they're too tight too. I think wth? I get the same size pant that's currently in my closet and gappy. Umm they're too tight too!!! How the hell is it even possible that I lose 40 lbs and I can't even fit into the same size pants as the baggy ass crap in my closet? I could probably get 2 of my thighs in 1 leg of my scrub pants. My slack in my closet and my shorts are falling off and I don't need to unbutton them to pull them on and off and i probably need to wear a belt to keep them up. But new clothes in a store I've always shopped at I can't even fit into the size I wore before surgery? Ugh, I hate clothes!
  15. I made a pb smoothie with yogurt, milk, ice, pb and banana!!! Yummy!!
  16. I live in Annville, PA. Had surgery in Hbg.
  17. Try again later. It may go easier.
  18. Good luck! I'll be pulling for you:)
  19. Leslie Sansone annoys me;) My mom uses her tapes and I want to jump through the tv and choke her!!
  20. One of these days we should definitely do a group session. Man, I wish I had a daytime Mon-Fri job:) I work full-time nights. I started as a day night rotator and it sucked beyond belief. I'm thinking of going to Centeal PA Hospice. Believe it or not, sometimes I prefer my cancer pts to my pregnant ones.
  21. And don't ever disbelieve psychics. I had one tell me that my ex boyfriend and I would get back together when his new gf dumped him. I would get pregnant. We would get married and have 2 kids. The first of which would be a boy. She couldn't tell what the 2nd was. And that eventually he would walk out and leave me to care for my children. I'll be damned if every part of that scenario didn't happen and in that order! Good guesses? I chose to think not.
  22. Your psychic should be shot;) I love my job (I dont want to go back on Fri) and wouldn't trade it for the world. It's so varied. I can go from one room with a woman fighting to maintain a pregnancy to another with a pt fighting for life with Uterine Ca to another with a woman letting go of life after a battle with ovarian Ca. We run the whole gamut of emotions. But for the most part couldn't find a more appreciative group of pts and families. Though there IS truth to the what the rest of thospital calls the "whiney gynies;)." But the rest of the floors aren't as nice as ours! Lol! Come on over:)
