You are!!! So gorgeous!! I was just having this conversation with my own self in the mirror the other day. I was so much more confident when I was my heaviest! This new territory is unfamiliar and will take some getting used to for me!

Ps congrats on the achievement!!!

73 lbs for me and sometimes I feel like I look like my old self. The mind can be a powerful thing. Especially when it's telling you you're still fat and ugly. But my heart knows better!!!

3 months down and 60 lbs later. I feel like a whole new person. Life has never been so amazing. I seriously doubted my decision the first month. It was the hardest season of my life so far. But so so SO worth it. And I'm no where near where I need to be yet!!!

Have the worst tooth ache ever! Out of nowhere and I have been taking crushed Tylenol and it does nothing for the pain. Can't get in to the dentist till next Friday. Grrrrr!! Anyone have any advice?! This is worse then post op recovery or natural childbirth!

Awesome guys!!!! Valerie you look great!! Keep up the amazing work! I just had my two month surgiversary yesterday and I was telling my mom I've come so far! I feel like a new person!! My kids are happy with the mommy I'm becoming. I hate looking at old pictures of myself. I can see the sadness in my eyes. It's weird and uncomfortable!

My coordinator called my insurance every other day. She would then call me with an update. I will call her and have her contact the insurance if she hasn't called you by day 10!

I am totally with you! You have an amazing way with words! Have you thought of penning your emotions as a coping mechanism instead of eating them? I wish you all the luck and remember YOU are worth it.

Tomorrow will be my 2 month mark. As of last Tuesday I have lost 37 lbs tomorrow is weigh in day. I am feeling pretty good and have more energy, even though it is freezing cold. I haven't taken any recent pictures but should soon.
Same here! Well the energy party. I'm in sunny California so the weather is no excuse for me lol great job on the 37 pound mark! Do you have any restriction? I'm pretty much able to eat anything. But sugar makes me queasy. Which is a great thing! But sometimes I miss it!!

I'm only in the midst of week 5, but wanted to tell you how fabulous you look! I really see the change in your face and around your waist!
Thank you!! When I went back to work people definitely did double takes and it felt so good!!!

Anyone 8 weeks out? How are you feeling? How's you're weightloss going? I hit a stall at 40 lbs down. I'm staying calm and trying to work through it! Here's my success so far. Sorry about the crazy hair! This was a few weeks ago. Can't wait to get down some more!

I'm in Elk Grove. Surgery was 3/25/13 with Dr. Patching at Sutter.
Dr Patching was my surgeon as well! What a small world!

Ashley I am the same as you. To the T! No energy. Seriously could sleep for days. It's joy fair to me or my four kids. I need to snap out of it but don't know how?!

Hi everyone. I just need to have a moment so I can get it out and get on with my life!!! I was sleeved on 11/27 and it's been the hardest, most trying four weeks of my life! I got my TOM one week after surgery which sucked the energy right out of me, I can sleep ALL day. I was dehydrated so I went to the ER where I was lectured the whole time I was there. I know better now and have since been really good about my Fluid intake. I was also told I have signs of pancreatitis as well as a UTI. Oh joy!! Fast forward two weeks and here I am with my TOM again and now have strep throat. I just want to feel normal again!!! The amoxicillin I'm on makes me so incredibly nauseous! My husband is so supportive but I can tell he's starting to get sick of it. I try my hardest not to complain. I try to just suck it up and move forward but I'm ready to done with this season of my life! Does it get better? I cannot wait for the day where I can look back on these first four weeks and say, "I'm so glad I'm not in that position anymore!!" I'm normally a VERY positive person, I believe this was Gods path for me and I'm leaning on Him through this time. I know I will get through this with His help, I just wish time would go by quicker!! The silver lining of this all? I'm down 31 pounds so far! Now THAT is something to celebrate!

I can't wait to be you in two years! I had my surgery on November 27th. Any advice you'd like to share? I have so many questions and no one I know has had this surgery so I feel so alone :/
Should I be able to ride on the rides, or no?

Most rides have a seat at the entrance you can try and sit in and see if it fits. I'm sure you will be fine. Enjoy and let us know how it goes!
