  3. At 5 months out I'd say my husband of 12 years can't get enough of me. I have to beat him off me sometimes. He had at one point expressed his concerns that I will leave him when I get skinny again. (Which is crazy I was skinny when we got together and married) He tells me he loves me no matter what. Our relationship was stressed some before the surgery because of me always being unhappy with myself but has gotten right again since. I know this is not the case all the time in most relationships but some are still happy and healthy. My doctor was the same way he told me about the divorce rate so we were aware. I wish the best to all that are having or had a break due to the stress of this life change, I hope everyone finds a happy medium with it all Know you are more than strong for doing this for yourself!!!
  4. Nope you can post anything I don't do anything special for lunch so I post my dinners. Your lunch looks yummy
  5. Right! I'm actually really surprised! I'm loven it I feel awesome after
  6. That was more than likely me Yes It seems better I'm just at 120's yay
  7. I am the same with planning my day the day before. Else I'll obcess about what to eat.
  8. Cheese and Rice Batman I gained a pound WTF!!! I hope next week is better! I'm 174..... now I'm going to pout
  9. Oh my I would not have thought to combine the two! Yummy thanks
  10. I was talking about not craving sweets one day 3 months post op and that night I had a dream I was a cake baker and had convinced myself I had to sample each cake I made! I "tasted" each bite I took of all those cakes lol
  11. UGH that is the worst! I'm sorry you're going through this! It will come with time, I promise. You're smart for just letting it heal. But seriously, losing that much weight without being able to exercise for half the time is AMAZING! Thank you! But I think that weight loss just came to it's first stall! I actually gained 2 pounds! Fack!....Well I weigh daily now and It's going to go back to once a week I cant handle seeing that freaking number go up! I don't get it. I'm still plugging away at my normal eating ect...This would be my first real stall.
  12. I honestly don't think so? Do you work out a lot? Like the poster above said, when I work out hard I notice I am much hungrier throughout the day. Yesterday I had 4.5 oz. of shredded chicken with 1/4 c. of cheese on it. I definitely was not full. I usually have an orange later in the afternoon, but that sucker came out like an hour after I ate. I haven't worked out in 2.5 months!!! Gawd!! I have a recurring leg (groin) strain! So annoying. I wish I could be active again. I mean sheesh I just lost the weight so I can move around with ease and chase my 3 year old.
  13. On gamergirls blog she has a recipe for egg Peanut Butter cookie pancakes they are very good I thought. I eat scrambled eggs or use my leftover dinner (taco, fajitas or steaks ect) and make a one egg omelet topped cheese and with a dollop of sour cream and salsa.
  14. Ask about their protein-carb balance so you know from the start. I know you will not need to worry about it for a while at first but later you might need to find that balance.
  15. I can definitely get 5 oz. down of ground beef and about 4 oz. of shredded chicken breast. I get so anxious when I read people who are like a year out and only able to get in 2-3 in! Relieved to hear others are in the same boat! I'M SO RELIVED I'm not alone!! I'm the same! I weigh food each meal and I've started to weigh it to 5 oz. So for example last night I made California Avocado Mango Chicken salad.....so chicken mix was 5 oz of Diced mango diced avocado diced red onion and chicken. plus about 1 ounce or less of greens with 1 1/2 table spoon of vinaigrette. Do ya'll think that sounds about how much ya'll eat?
  16. Oh that's really good! I've also been eating a little faster but never really had that issue post sx. I should measure myself again its been months. sheesh protein wise I can eat 4 oz of something's. and an ounce or so of veggies! I just found out I gained weight! WTF I was 173 now (I've been weighing daily and I need to stop!) I weigh 175. Gawd not what I need right now! I feel yucky this morning! I need to revaluate my foods I guess. Even though I'm not eating any different. Or maybe I need to just relax lol
  17. Bahahaha Ya woman your batten a thousand! How bout thick soups?
  18. That is true about eating different amounts different days. I do feel that I seem I eat a tad more now with out the hurt. I always eat my protein first at each meal. I am a carb freak. lol You sound like your doing great! I used to write down my foods in a journal daily when I stared too. I use mfp and it's gotten so much easier.
  19. Do you think if you try'd any of them you might like it? It might so change the taste. I know it was a huge difference when I added a packet of splenda to it. (I had not though of that either) lol I think the fage in tomato Soup will be a totally different taste. Just a thought.
  20. Lordy that sound so yummy! TY
  21. Awesome. I'm on mfp as ersopher I'll look ya up there. I'm at about 1000 caliores 50 carbs (which I tend to go over lately) 88-100 protein and I try to hit 8-10 glasses of water. I strained my groin muscle a few months ago and tryd to let it rest and It's not healing so I'll be starting PT soon. Frack! lol I want to be active again shitted I;ve lost 105 pounds in less than a year I WANNA LIVE Thank you for answering my questions btw
  22. Our starting stats are similar I'm 5'6 kinda on the shorter side ha. My Hw 278 Pre op 260 cw 173 So now I feel better we've lost about the same and have similar other stats and are eating around the same amount! hhmmmm I sound kinda stockerish lmao so not my intent Are you tracking your foods?
