  1. I have been getting down about 50 grams protein & about 50-60 oz of water daily & wake up every morning sooooo thirsty. My mouth is so dry! It's been weird. Hoping this passes. Lol
  2. Hey everyone, I'm exactly 3 weeks post op today! I have been feeling GREAT! No pain since 5days post op other then some soreness. I went back to week last Monday so it was 13 days post op & I did great (office work) other then feeling like I had no energy 1/2 way thru the day! I have not had any nausea since I left the hospital. At my 1 week post op appt my dr have me my new menu which consists of scrambled egg, cheese, yogurt, vegetarian refried beans, mashed potatoes, tuna, & grilled fish. I have been doing great with all the above I've tried! When I go to my 1 month post op next week I get a new menu. I can't wait. I'm getting tired of the same 7 items lol. I lost 21 lbs the first 2 weeks post op & then gained 1.5 lbs & have stayed at that weight the last 6 days. My clothes are definately getting loose on me. I have dropped 1 size. I hope everyone else is doing good & good luck to u all. I will keep u updated!

  4. Ur lucky they did the potassium thru ur Iv. I was also low after surgery & I had to drink this cup of it & let me tell u it was AWFUL!!! Then when they discharged me I was given a prescription for a capsule of potassium & take it daily for 2 weeks!
  5. I hope u have a fun safe trip! I live about an hour or so from San Diego. I love it out here in Cali. You should def go to SeaWorld, Coronado Island & the gaslamp district! San Diego is one of my favorite places to go. Good luck & praying for a fast full recovery for ur son
  6. Good luck!! U will do fine
  7. How did everything go yesterday? How r u feeling now? Let me know when ur able to.
  8. Today is officially 2 weeks since I've had my surgery! Time flys!!! I went back to work yesterday (office job). Everything went fine all day as far as pain goes. Around 1pm I started getting tired. By the end of the day I was exhausted! Today is about the same! But other then that everything's good! My incisions are healing really nicely. 2 are completely closed up & look great. 3 others are about 3/4 of the way closed up. I'm not feeling hungry, but have been mentally "wanting" to eat. I hope everyone is doing great & those having surgery soon best of luck to u all!
  9. Wow really?? That's a lot!! I'm in Riverside.... Love it in San Diego! Did u already have ur surgery? It will all go by so fast! Good luck to u )
  10. I have Kaiser southern ca & the process was fairly quick! I met with dr, he referred me to Option Classes. Had to go to that 12 weeks. Then bloodwork & wait for referral. Once I got my referral to surgeon (outside of kaiser) I had 1 appt with him & my surgery was set for 2 weeks from then. Had my pre op appt the following week, psyc evaluation & more bloodwork. From the time I finished the classes my surgery was only 2 1/2 months later. My surgery was on April 8th. Only 2 weeks out but feeling pretty good
  11. I'm so sorry to hear this. I hope u get better fast!! How long after surgery did this happen? Praying for a quick recovery & no more problems for u!!
  12. Hello I also had mine on 4/8! I am in the same boat as u. I lost 21 lbs in 10 days & have only lost 1.3 lbs in the last 3 days. I'm also in the puree stage. I'm thinking it has something to do with it, but not 100% sure. My clothes are already getting baggy & ppl have said my face looks thinner. Just a little disappointing It came off sooo fast then just stopped. I'm sure it's just a little stall & within a few days we will start losing again. Hang in there!!!
  13. I'm finally starting to drink water like a normal person too. It's a good feeling. I've been waking up sooo thirsty in the morning. I'm down 22 lbs in 13 days. Down 1 jean size which is a great feeling. Feeling a lot better all the way around. My incisions are healing nicely just still very itchy! I'll have to try a pureed veggie soup. I've been craving soft veggies soooo much lately.
  14. I haven't been on here in a few days but I wanted to give a little update. I had my 1 week post op on Tuesday & I lost 15 lbs since the day of surgery & I'm feeling GREAT!! I got to add some new foods to my diet thank goodness. Mashed potatoes, cream of wheat, scrambled egg, vegetarian refried beans, & yogurt. I must say it's a nice change to have something different lol. I got my first hunger feeling last night so I ate a sugar free popsicle. Just kind of worried me a little since it's the first time I felt that since surgery. Hope everyone is doing well & good luck to those with upcoming surgeries )
  15. Good luck to those of u who are having surgery today & all this week! Wishing u all the best & prayers for a fast easy recovery! Can't wait to hear how it all goes. For those who had surgery already... How is the weight loss going? I weighed myself Saturday morning (4 days post op) & was down 8 Pounds! I haven't weighed again yet. I'm waiting til I have my post op tomorrow afternoon. I'll let u all know tomorrow. I'm hoping for atleast 10 in the 1st week )
  16. My dr told me that I can't have yogurt until I go to my post op appt (I believe it's in the pureed stage) but double check with ur dr to make sure. I know so many drs do everything differently
  17. Yes very true, we are def healing. How did u do over the weekend? I seem to be doing great. Ready for the next stage of foods tho... Getting tired of the broth, jello, juices, & Popsicles lol.... I haven't really used my pain meds in the last day & a half. Feeling a lot better now
  18. I know the changes are sooo weird. I was never satisfied with the amount of food I would have now I get full on a small sip Of water. Lol I feel like water & protein goes down a lot easier if it's really old. I started my vitamins today & took forever to get my multi vitamin in. The flavor grossed me out but was easily tolerated before surgery. All the others were ok. I think I'll have to try a different multi vitamin this weekend.
  19. That sounds soooo good. Maybe I'll try that one of these days, but I'll need an ice cream maker
  20. Good Luck to u!!! Keep me updated on how everything goes
  21. I was discharged yesterday late afternoon. Had a rough night at home last night. Was up a lot, in pain, still had gas pains, feel really bloated & gross. Finally had a Real shower as soon as I got home which was really nice. I'm struggling with getting all my protein in & water. Seems like even though I been sipping it maybe I'm drinking it too fast. I suddenly get this discomfort pain in my chest & have to wait for it to pass. I haven't really been nauseous. But I'm still taking my pain meds that dr sent me home with. Hoping & praying each day gets easier for us all!
  22. My nurse just said I prob. Won't have a bowel movemsnt for about a week. Pretty sure I won't have to have 1 b4 zoo lsace
  23. Hello. I had my surgery yesterday @ 9:00am. Have been in quite a bit of pain since I woke up. They have been giving me diludad about every 2 hours. Seems to help pretty quickly but starts wearing off after about an hour & 30 min. I got up & started walking about 2 hours after I got in my room. Try to walk right after each pain shot b4 falling back asleep. I'll update u all soon. Going to try resting a lil bit xoxo
  24. Good Luck everyone having surgery today. I'm getting ready to leave soon. Il try updating u all later. Praying for everyone to have a safe quick recovery.
