Hey everyone. Sorry, it’s been a while. I made an Indian dish called Chana Saag. First time making it. It’s vegetarian and smells so good. I’ll be serving it over rice for my hubby. No rice for me—still makes me too full too fast. Super easy recipe too, hope y’all can try t out sometime. I added extra curry.
Hi,
Curious if you used the milk or did a substitution? Looks great!

And in the beginning you cannot possibly get enough Protein to meet requirements on those foods - get some Protein Shakes. And do the vegan thing when you are healed.
My NUT said you really can't be vegan on this, especially in the first month or so while you are healing.
Good luck though, hope you do okay.
You are not going to get much protein at all from ANY food in the first few weeks. That is why the docs recommend shakes to supplement.
The idea that you simply must eat animal products is ridiculous.

Consider adding a PPI if you are not taking one already. Excess stomach acid can feel just like hunger.

Ultimate Flora is excellent. I've been taking the extra care, which is the one that says 30 billion on it, for over a year. It helps a lot and has also made a huge difference for my immune system as well. The one I take has 10 strains. This brand also has a higher version as well.

If you are not overeating then it has to be the types of food that you are eating.
I am on an extended business trip and I very quickly gained over 10 pounds in under 2 months from bad food choices. I'm taking it off now. I have switched to a low fat plant based diet. Google if you are interested, it's excellent for health and weight management.

Are you taking a ppi? If not, try it and see if it helps your hunger.
Also, 6 pounds in a month is fine for lower bmi. The weight is going to come off slowly but steadily. It adds up!

Have you called back to let them know that it is growing larger? Maybe they can fit you in today?

Have you tried a non-whey Protein? I know there are some vegan ones out there as well as I think there is an egg-based one as well. I'm sorry I don't know the brands, hopefully someone that knows will post.
Have you been to see a doctor since you got back?

I found that if I got the urge to smoke, I told myself go do something else for 5 minutes. I can always smoke later if I really need it. It worked and I never did get around to smoking. It's been over 5 years and I have less than no desire to ever smoke again.
The cravings pass really quickly. It is totally doable, don't psych yourself out! You got this!

It sounds like the reversal was one month ago.

As long as you are not doing anything physically strenuous a week will be more than enough. The sooner you switch from narcotics to tylenol (get the adult liquid Tylenol) the sooner you will be ready to get back to work.

Lactose intolerance is fairly common after surgery even if you didn't have a problem before. Stay away from the milk [emoji4]

For the endoscopy you should only be under for 15 minutes or something. Pretty short.
Worst case scenario they will just have to reschedule for you if they don't want to go forward.

Sneezing after I eat. A sign?

So, no sneezing. But I will say that in my late 30s I realized that I had developed a gross throat-clearing problem when full. Now, my hopes that it would fade away after sleeve were not to be. But, happily, I was able to identify the cause (sugar and lots of it!).
OTOH, my cousin had a sleeve first (later changed to DS after gaining a ton of lbs in grad school) and now swears that her body signals over feeding when her left ear turns red and becomes hot and itchy.
