    Sweet Tea Product

Lipton also makes these, it's in the yellow package and is called "Southern Sweet Tea" and the splenda is in the tea bag. I get it at Kroger. Sent from my SM-N910T using the BariatricPal App
  2. I will echo what others said in that you will likely only need the narcotic for the first day or two. After that I was able to switch to the liquid adult tylenol and that worked just fine to control the pain. Best of luck!

    Any teachers here?

I like the idea of waiting till after the first weeks. Or, waiting till Christmas. I'm teach primary now but when I got my sleeve I was at a desk job and one week off was not even enough then. The issue was fatigue, from healing and from the low calories that first week. I have heard recovery from bypass can be a bit harder than sleeve, but I don't know if that is true. Good luck!! Changing Surgeons after approval

I did it, it was no big deal. The new Doc just has to resubmit to insurance with the new Dr and hospital info. It did take about a month to go through. They will have to coordinate with your original Dr to get the paperwork/records. Sent from my SM-N910T using the BariatricPal App

    Alcohol

I am allowed alcohol, I think I had my first at about 4 months out. At my 6 month appt my doc asked what am I having for alcohol. Not if I'm having it, but what am I choosing. He just wanted to make sure it is a low calorie choice and obvi not excessive I drink prosecco, which is fizzy. My doc approved. The big thing is that you must avoid the super caloric, sugary drinks! Margaritas (unless skinny type), creamy type stuff, etc. That's where you can get into real trouble and your losses will be compromised. Eta I'll be 2 years out in September.
  11. Yes I wonder how you came to this goal? I would think you could get under 200 fairly easily. But it's your choice! You should aim for where you want to be and what you can maintain Sent from my SM-N910T using the BariatricPal App

Met someone I am really into

It sounds like you are moving forward and taking those steps toward him. That is a wonderful thing! And going by what you have shared, it sounds like real progress too. If the topic actually comes up, or if you feel that you might be sending him unintended/mixed signals, I say go ahead and share your feelings about it. Otherwise, I would probably just let things happen naturally. This is a gift. Enjoy every moment you can You deserve it! Sent from my SM-N910T using the BariatricPal App

  21. Hello all, I have developed a photo allergy post-sleeve, just wondering if anyone else has developed something like this. After x amount of sun exposure (vacation type levels, not day to day type of exposure) I will get puffy eyes and tiny, itchy pustules. They start on the chest and move to the arms and legs if sun exposure continues. I am 19 months post op but this first happened at 6 months out. Have had 4 total episodes since. Never before surgery. I was originally thinking it was an allergy to something else, but I have finally been able to narrow it to just sun. Anyone else? I am wondering if it's worth a dermatologist visit or if the only thing to do is to just stay out of the sun.

  24. The Aveda be curly styling cream, a little devacurl gel, and dry with a diffuser to make it curly. To wear straight Aveda makes a glossing defrizzer (I forget the name but it comes in a light blue tube) that works well but you have to use enough (applies to both products actually). I've been washing once a week for like 10 years. Big time saver. Sent from my SM-N910T using the BariatricPal App
