Advancing your diet- on your own

I followed plan strictly. I was deathly afraid of leak. I had read one woman's ordeal on here (she developed a leak after eating a soft nacho chip) in particular that frightened me. Sent from my SM-N910T using the BariatricPal App

    Alcohol

10 days is way too soon. You are not fully healed yet on the inside. Wait at least a few months then it's up to you and your plan. I had my first drink around 3 months out, it was fine no problems at that point. I'm currently 28 months out. Sent from my SM-N910T using the BariatricPal App

    PB&J

I don't recommend soft bread this early out. If you are dying for the taste, a thin crispy cracker would probably work better. Sent from my SM-N910T using the BariatricPal App

    Relationship Worries - Please Help

2 things, first and foremost anyone worth your time and love is going to be attracted to you either way. The second question I have for you to consider is whether you settled at all in this relationship for the sake of comfort/safety? I wonder if you will feel the same about him after you get back to normal size? Sent from my SM-N910T using the BariatricPal App

    Relatively low BMI results

Mine before surgery was very bad but about 97 percent controlled with ppi. If yours is not able to really be controlled now, I'm sure your doc is right to recommend bypass for you. Sent from my SM-N910T using the BariatricPal App

@@emmapat14 I know you weren't asking me, but I had Gerd before sleeve, and afterward it went away for a long time. It just came back again about 6 months ago, so maybe 22 months post-sleeve. For now I'm able to control it with just pepcid ac 2 x a day. I'm not sure what the future holds but for now I'm still glad I had sleeve. Sent from my SM-N910T using the BariatricPal App
  10. Does anyone know if this type of drink would coat the stomach so that one could take pills/vitamins? I don't like eating in the morning but I have to have something in there or else my Vitamins make me feel sick. I've been using half of a premier shake for this purpose for about a year and a half. Wouldn't mind changing though. Sent from my SM-N910T using the BariatricPal App
  11. After the first several weeks the weight isn't just falling off of you left and right. You are not going to have to worry about losing too much, trust me. Even if you did, which you won't, it is very easy to increase calories once you are cleared for all foods. Sent from my SM-N910T using the BariatricPal App

Oooo girl your thighs look good!! Thank you again for sharing your pics Sent from my SM-N910T using the BariatricPal App
  13. I would still go with insurance. This way in case something goes very wrong you are for sure covered for everything. There is also something to be said for having surgery/surgeon close to home. I think there are some people who have chosen self pay though to avoid waiting. Sent from my SM-N910T using the BariatricPal App

    Spouse issues ?

He may also be trying to express love and care by showing that he thinks of you and bringing you gifts/treats. I would tread very carefully if you decide to say something. Sent from my SM-N910T using the BariatricPal App

Tummy Tuck and Inner Thigh Lift

I think you are gonna have a fabulous result! Thank you so much for sharing @@Spiceyfrog Do you happen to have any before pics where you are not holding the skin that you would be willing to share? I'm curious to see how we compare, I think our shape might be similar. I've always had a larger waist relative to the rest of me. While I'm asking I might as well say I would love to see a back view of your incisions! Lol Sent from my SM-N910T using the BariatricPal App

    I failed myself yet again...

@@JerseyJules I read your original post at the time and though I felt sad for you, I understood why you did it. I don't know if this is allowed, but I remember hoping you would find your way back. Wishing you all the best, you have a great attitude and I'm sure you will be successful whichever procedure you choose. Sent from my SM-N910T using the BariatricPal App

My horrible experience at a restaurant.

The split fee is not literally for the labor involved with manually splitting the food up between two plates. It's a fee for the fact that you have split an entree. Sent from my SM-N910T using the BariatricPal App

Hi @@Spiceyfrog is this the so-called spiral thigh lift? May I ask how you settled on this procedure over other options, and also do you have a sense of the initial results thus far? Sent from my SM-N910T using the BariatricPal App

  20. @@Moogle exactly! I went to tier 1 and I know many that were never able to really get anything going with law after. And even the ones that did get the big deal firm jobs hate it. Law school is interesting and intellectually exciting/challenging, but the only thing it prepares you for it a career in law, which ain't all that great. I only had a mid term exam one time and it was not one of the first year classes, it was con crim pro. We always just had the one exam. Sent from my SM-N910T using the BariatricPal App

  24. Aw. Bless your heart. All I will add is that I graduated from ls long enough ago to have some perspective on the experience (hence, my advice) yet recently enough to still be making loan payments (hence my advice). Oh, and I work with IDEA and Section 504 daily in my current job so, again, bless your heart. Edited to correct a typo. Sent from my SM-N910T using the BariatricPal App
