woo woo replied to amyecpa's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Ask your doctor for a prescription ppi. -
Vegetti, paid 12 dollars works great. They sell them at CVS.
-
I would really suggest counseling. Speak with someone that deals in food addiction and eating disorders.

Okay - so here are my new questions
woo woo replied to Cleo's Mom's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was prescribed tramadol for back pain, it's been pretty good. I've never experienced dumping or intolerance of any foods. I am currently 5 months out. Your doc will periodically do blood work to make sure you are ok with your Vitamins and such. Most people need to take a multi and also b12. Some take Calcium and Iron as well. -

woo woo replied to Patti04005's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Prosecco. The one I like is less carbonated than some and has only 50 cals/glass. Also it's not too sweet. -
Chinese food ok when?
woo woo replied to monopoly2015's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was not allowed steak until after 6 weeks. I would wait as long as humanly possible before jumping into junky fast food type stuff though. I'm 5 months out and haven't touched chinese/pizza/etc. ETA not that I've been perfect! But I have stuck to "real" type foods mostly Also a few tortilla chips here and there -
I have a Kenmore that is very easy to use. I paid about 450 for it 9 years ago. Before that I had the 200 dollar brother unit that they sell at walmart. Also very easy to operate. The machines nowadays are touchscreen to select your stitch.

You’re fat…but not fat enough
woo woo replied to lauren8486's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
How is it fraud if you meet the requirement? Other than (maybe) wearing weights, I'm not seeing it. -

I would just also add that in the very unlikely event of serious complication, you will be glad to be covered fully by the insurance since you went through them for the surgery. Good luck. Cigna is not too difficult to deal with. They paid for my surgery 100%.

What Should I Expect at First Appointment?
woo woo replied to katiern's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
The doc will explain each surgery offered, like the mechanics of each and how it works, and also take a medical history in order to recommend which procedure or procedures would be best for you. -

Scale vs. clothes: what's going on here?!
woo woo replied to JackieBrown's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
I think it's a combo of vanity sizing and wls. For sure a 10 today is more like a 12 was back in the 90s for example. But, I also have become very narrow in areas that were not that way the last time I was around this weight. I guess it's the rapid loss. -
In an emergency double up on the milk of mag (4tbsp). Drink plenty of water with it.

How often do you weigh yourself?

Celestial Seasonings Bengal Spice Tea
woo woo replied to IcanMakeit's topic in Post-op Diets and Questions
I didn't think so. Then I tried this tea. I took the box into work months ago for others to have and it's still there. And believe me, I work with a large group of scavengers. -
Celestial Seasonings Bengal Spice Tea
woo woo replied to IcanMakeit's topic in Post-op Diets and Questions
The Bengal spice was too strong for me. Way too much cinnamon for my taste. I believe it's just spices and herbs and such. -

I would encourage you to contact your bariatric team and insist on being seen by the doc. At the very least you could get anti nausea meds. Good luck and I'm sorry you are experiencing this.
