At 3 weeks I had a couple bites of the inside of taco salad bowl! It was mushy before chewing. It was soooo good! -

Definitely will be watching this post! I also am pear shaped. Always had thighs, hips, and rear! I'm 5 weeks out and can tell I've lost in my legs but my rear end hasn't changed (of course I can't see it like other ppl can) I'm down 29.5 lbs. The stalls r killing me! I still wear same size blue jeans they're just a little roomier now lol. I can tell mostly when I put my scrubs on. -
I take prilosec daily. 40 mg and at times I feel like I'm starving. I'm 5 wks out.

Some ppl have a period after the surgery. Had mine like normal 2 weeks before surgery then started again 3 days after surgery. Be prepared ladies! -

5wks out today and after wk 4 I was told by my dr I could eat anything I want as long as it is mush before I swallow. To wait til 7wks out before I try lettuce and salads. Every dr has their own plan and each is different. I was on cream soup day after surgery. Soft foods after 9 days. -
Walmart carries whey protein shots. 42g and have different flavors. I use them. Just one a day. But they dont taste all that great but I can stomach them better than the protein shakes!

I slept in a recliner for the first weeks. The sitting up in bed wasn't happening lol. Even after I started sleeping in bed I had to "roll" out! -

Walmart has whey protein shots that have 42g of protein per 3.8 oz. They're really sweet and tart but I can tolerate them. The shakes gag me now! -

I'm 4 wks out and on whatever I want to eat as long as its mush before I swallow. Rough couple days! It seems like solid food sits like rocks in my stomach. Hope this feeling doesn't last long -

I've suffered with migraines for yrs. After surgery on 11-4-13 I've had 2 small headaches. Before surgery I took excedrin migraine. I didn't want prescription drugs as long as the excedrin was working. Little over 4 wks out and I'm amazed at the difference. I was scared I would have to be put on prescription meds due to no more nsaids! -

I had surgery 11-4-13. I'm 4 wks out as of yesterday. I work in a nursing home. Went back to work after 3 wks. I'm on solids now but it feels heavy in my stomach when I eat, plus my stomach kinda cramps up when I eat. No more antiemetics or pain meds! -

I'm 4wks out tomorrow and down 18 lbs. Guess I'm a slow looser. So far so good. Back at work for a week and can tell. Back hurts alot. Gotta get used to pushing a med cart again! -

I'm 3 wks and 2days out. Dr appt yesterday @ 2:20. He said I was fine to eat what I wanted as long as it could be chewed to mush before I swallowed. I can try shredded lettuce in late December.
