Have you tried G2 or power aid zero? Does it hurt every time or just at first sip? I know I cramp at first sip in the morning and the pills make me feel so full each time I take them. I have a big pill for my gallbladder so that must be it for me. I hope you start feeling better soon. One more question, have you tried sipping warm water?

    Bummed out

I'm in the middle of a stall right now. I lost 15 lbs post op and have been stalled at 229 for the last 10 days. I'm worried but I know it happens and I know we will be over it very soon. Hang in there.

    OCTOBER 2014

So I wrote this on the pre op post but I thought I would share here too. I'm outgrowing my pants, I only have 3 since I work so much and my work clothes are scrubs. I found a pair in my closet that I haven't worn in 4+years, they were a size 20. Well I never thought they would fit but they did. Then this morning I went to Old Navy (they are having an awesome sale going on right now) I went in so thinking I was about to purchase some size 20 pants, I picked up so 18's to see how longer I had to go to get in them and they fit as well. Apparently old navy ' pants stretch so the sales associate said to get pants that fit well because they will stretch and get looser as the day goes on. I bought 2 of the size 18's and they will have to last me until I go shopping again in Janurary. Ahhh, I'm so excited.

I'm so sorry for the people who are going through rough times right now, while I didn't have to be placed in the hospital I was where you are right now. I still cramp with water and other fluids first thing in the morning. I will be sending good vibes your way and if you believe in God I will send a prayer up for you ladies tonight.

I also heard from the PA that helped with my surgery that Milk of Mag also is supposed to help with nausea.

Glad you're going home Layknee. Keep those fluids going in. Did they ever really figure out what was wrong?

Update: So I just went into my closet. I have 1 pair of pants I've not worn in 4+ years because they were always too tight. They are a size 20. I fit them now!!!! I was so not thinking they were going to fit either. Now I know what size to get while out at Old Navy tomorrow! Pretty soon I'll be in a size 18!

I'm preparing myself to go to Old Navy tomorrow. I only have 3 pairs of pants and they are well worn and too big now, they are between 22/24. I'm hoping to be a size smaller. Today I went to my job to get some paperwork I needed and my boss can already tell I have lost at least 20lbs. I think my "intermission" might be coming to a close because I was down half a pound today, still 229 but only 229.2 lbs instead of the 229.8 lbs.
  13. My bmi was 45, I gained 20+ lbs from the band once they let the fluids out, since I was literally starved my body soaked up all the nutrition I could bring to it now and held on to all the weight. It was quite discouraging since I was trying to lose 10 lbs but instead gained 20.
  14. My surgeon also refused the sleeve, the reason being that he felt I would have the same results as the band and he felt that going for the bypass would give me the results I truly needed. He said since my weight loss was so small (approx 20 lbs) that the sleeve would give me similar results. He stressed that losing as much as possible would benefit me and my children. He was willing to give me recommendations to another surgeon who would have done it but since I trusted his judgment and because I was suffering from acid reflux all through the band I chose the bypass.

    Biotin? Coromega?

I've heard that Omega 3's are supposed to help too, also keeping up with protein.

On post op day 4 I felt that way. Some days I still feel like I may have made a mistake. I hear that goes away eventually, just that I want to survive seeing grandchildren being born. My kids are still little, oldest will be 8 in December so I have a long life to live. I know there are studies for 10 years out but I don't see much of people who are much farther than that. That's what I'm most nervous about, the uncharted after 10 years. I can't wait until I'm happy with my decision.

Maybe it's a stricture. I hope they find out what's wrong. It's probably best that they keep y p u to give you fluids that you need.

Hopefully they figure out what's going on with you. Is it a constant feeling or is it intermittent?

Cross posted from the pre surgery thread. I have hit a stall. 4 days of the same weight so far. I knew it was about to come soon. I've read these threads so often that I'm not too worried about it right now. Some have the stall for a full 2 weeks. I know it will start going down eventually.

I don't think it's lactose intolerance when it comes to me. I do just fine with milk, no sweating, no nausea. I get get hot sometimes but I wouldn't have eaten anything and still feel that way. I read from someone on here that once they do surgery our metabolisms kind of reset themselves. I'm wondering if that might be the reason I feel so warm all the time.
