OMG 1 Week Post Op NSV

Thanks Like we can do this????
  3. Jeannie here's what I know: There is a part of this process that we have no control over. I too had my doubts which caused me to cancel my scheduled surgery on 1/6/14. I was just sleeved on 3/30/15, but I used that year to read, research, ask questions, attend support groups and scour you tube for videos and information so by the time 2015 came around I knew the timing was right, I was informed and it was my time. I wrote a long letter to my 19 year old son and put everything in order and I was at peace with my decision. I was at peace all the way into the operating room and they put the mask on me to breathe in the goodnight oxygen????. When it is right for you you will know it. Don't worry you have a little time before July stay on this website and read everything you can on here about people's experiences, both good and bad. Trust yourself to make the right decision. There are wonderful veterans on here that share info and wisdom take advantage of that. Sending you a big hug.

Hi all I'm so glad you guys are sharing your experiences. I too had hernia repair and deep breaths are painful. Seems like whatever they do in there, this is a common after effect.

    HAD SURGERY 3/31/15

Hi Butterfly I had my surgery on 3-30-15, so I'm right here with you trying to navigate this sleeve. We can support each other through this. What I've found out so far is that it gets better every day. Yesterday a few sips of protein drink Was painful. Today I can still feel it going down but it's not painful. It's just a strange feeling. In any case hang in there and get plenty of fluids and rest.????. Let's support each other.
  6. I will not miss the mean treatment from people who judge me and never really get to know me because I am fat.
  7. Hi all you March sleevers. March 30th is my date and it can't come quick enough. I'm excited for all of you and I'm grateful to this site because were not alone on this journey. I am Looking forward to reading all of your posts.

    Sad and shocked

I understand how you feel. I feel the same way, somehow I always felt like I was smaller than I am until I saw myself in pictures, I was mortified and so ashamed. Hang in there at least we are taking steps to turn this thing around, that's what counts.

    I need a good butt-kicking!

Rhayla you can do it. Just take one day at a time and focus on living in the solution not the problem. Hunker down and Grind on
  11. Congrats AJ see you on the losers bench.
  12. My surgery date is 3-30-15. So I'm glad the wait for surgery approval is over, but now I have to wait two whole months to get sleeved. It feels like March is a lifetime away, but I believe everything happens for a reason sooooo I'll use these two months to loose as much weight as I can, so when I'm sleeved I will be that much closer to goal. I'm one step closer to the losers bench, scoot over you guys make room for me on that bench????

    Thanks Lipstick Lady ????
  16. I have been lurking around on this website since 2013. I have found this site to be very informative and at times entertaining , but I thought that rather than watch on the sidelines I would get on board and try to get some support and give some also. I went through the Bariatric process with Kaiser in 2013 and I had a date of 1-6-2014. I did not go through with the surgery, and I regretted that for a while but now in hindsight I know that was a good decision because I had more work I needed to do on myself to get ready for the surgery. In any case I have been through the process a second time now and I am waiting for insurance approval which hopefully should come any day now. Working on a pre op eating program and getting things in order before surgery. I am mom to 2 boys one is 19 and in college the other is a 8 year old Schnauzer. I look forward to reading more of your inspiring posts, and chatting with you. I will post again when I get my approval and my surgery date.

Hi folly, yes I got to do the classes with Kaiser and you are right they are awesome. Kaiser is very thorough so you know what your getting into by the time you go through their program. Thanks for the encouragement and support.

  20. I'm new to Vst in fact today is my orientation. I've been emotional all week going back and forth on if I should do this or try again to loose the weight on my own. I didn't sleep much in anticipation of orientation last night either. I think the emotions are normal before and after the surgery, this is a life change your making. hang in there.
