I think wanting to lose 60' , 70 to 80 pounds is no lightweight. I see that u can be successful. Maybe not as fast as someone tht has to lose 100 plus. Br u can still get successful by changing your habits and using the surgery as a tool.

U look so young and gorgeous. Congrats

Congrats..don't think of losing 10 years think of gaining many 10 years by losing your weight. Congrats.

My surgery is dec 9.. I changed my mind several times within the last few months. I think it was my daughter who is a PA was not buying in for me to have the surgery. I wanted support foo my two daughters and husband. She sees patients who gave gad this procedure and some r successful..some gained some weight back. She is now on board at that solidified my choice to gave the surgery. I gave not looked back since. You will get there. Talk to your support system about this issue.

Change your mindset on fried foods, if u r going to have this procedure and thinking that u can have your fried foods again is counter productive, u need to change your lifestyle..focus on what is nutritious for your body otherwise you will sabotage your health journey.. I am not saying you will never eat a fried food again.. But changing your eating habits would be required to maintain your weight loss for the long run.

Why don't u find people close to your age that had the procedure and r successful. Maybe they can share info with your father that would ease his concern. What about the surgeon u may be interested in using, he may have young patients. Bring your dadwith u to thedoctor to hear his perspective. Having a weight issue since 7 must have been hard on u. In addition to the surgery, find a psycologist who specializes in eating issues. Deal with your physical and emotional issues. Hope this helps. Peace be with you.
