  1. I believe it! I havent thrown up once...thank goodness! I would rather eat a little less than risk getting sick. I think that the key is chew, chew, chew and eating slow. I put my fork down in between bites.
  2. Lol! I was too but I was hungry and eager to get back to somewhat normal. Keep in mind that I eat very very small amounts. I get a variety but I also make sure that any food that I eat is shredded or minced and I chew chew chew!!!! So while its not pureed it is soft by the time it goes down. I have lost 19 pounds and feel good. Just wish I could hold more so that im not hungry so often but as I heal that will come. Im not rushing that! When Im full....Im full! :-)
  3. Can I get added go the facebook grp? My email is jlinnea2003@yahoo.com
  4. Im post op 9/16. Im eating all regular foods bit I do drink two protein shakes a day. I have not eaten any red meat. I have kept my diet to fish, shredded or minced chicken and turkey. I have headaches but I did before my surgery. Im headed to the neurologist for some relief hopefully. The main thing is that I dont eat anything unless it contains protein.

  7. I made homemade turkey meatballs for dinner tonight. Yum Yum! We had whole wheat pasta and sauce w them. Of course, I ate about 1/2 of my meatball and abt 1/2 ounce of pasta. It was so tasty though. My husband was reluctant bc I used ground turkey but ended up being surprisingly pleased! :-)

  14. Its a powder that my dietitian recommended. It is 100% protein. No carbs, no sugar....and unflavored so u can add it to anything. Cold or hot. Google it....the prices r good on amazon and u to an get just one can to try.
  15. They r.....i basically still eat soft foods....shredded chicken, guacamole, soft cooked veggies..although I did pick up some nuts today. My dietitian said that I must have healed quickly and that its not a bad thing. I have not once got sick and have tolerated everything as normal. I still have cottage cheese protein shakes, pickles without the skin...I have lost 19 pounds and had my surgery 9/16! I walk almost every morning.
  16. I ordered the Beneprotein today to increase my protein. I am planning on adding it to some of the foods that I would like to have or try but dont contain any protein or very little.
  17. Oh good! Idk....they said soft foods after my one week post op so I tried different stuff each day and then checked with my dietitian and approved. Im a hungry girl tho. I eat my protein and my shakes and snack so Im eating 6 very small meals a day 40-60g of protein at this time.
