  1. Some days my sleeve Loves me more than I love it. When I try to hang out with my old habits and the fun I use to have with a food party.....my SLEEVE COP puts the brakes on. I'm almost 6 months out and feel like this hasn't worked for me as well as I wished. Lately I haven't been able to work out and have been suffering with a painful pinched nerve in my leg.

I do log daily with myfitnesspal and average 900 cals daily.

I've been stressed planning a 50th birthday party for my hubby and I think I'm in a slump.

Sometimes I forget I had the surgery since I didn't have any problems. Its so cold here in New York and I'm feeling the Winter blues. I'll start to exercise and won't finish on cloudy days.

Think I'm a little weight loss depressed. Hoping this will pass soon.

    Hang in there!

  2. Unfortunately after seeing my surgeon yesterday it was decided that I should not continue with the Challenge at this time. I have put my body in starvation mode again both by dehydration and not eating enough Protein. Please everyone make sure you get enough of both everyday. It is so important to your health. I may join the next challenge but we will see I haven't decided yet. Good luck to you all.

I'm sorry to hear this, and I hope you quickly get out of starvation mode and drink drink drink!

By the way, how did your doctor determine that your body was in starvation mode?

  3. Thank you!

Haha yes I was! And it was a blast. I was comfortable laying out and tanning, I loved getting in pictures and I did all sorts of things I wouldn't have been able to do before bc of weight limits. Pretty great. Hope you enjoyed!

I did! It was wonderful! Although, I'm still shy about wearing anything that shows my scars around the pool. I just had to find something else to feel self conscious about. Ugh! Here comes those one pieces

  4. "Someone who is 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighs 149 pounds has a BMI of 24, considered a healthy weight. Add a pound and the same person has a BMI of 25 and is considered overweight. At 170 pounds this person has a BMI of 40 and is considered obese."

Huh?!!!! Lol I'm 5'5" and currently 170, and NO ONE is gonna tell me I'm obese right now! Hm! ;)

  5. Hey everyone,

I was sleeved on September 25th, 2013 SW 284 today I'm at 222= 62 lbs lost. I'm at a major stall I haven't lost anything in over a week. I know I have not been getting enough Protein either! Today I'm trying to get in 60 Grams It's so hard! I know when I eat Protein I get out of my stalls though.

Today I'm doing, Yogurt 2 oz at a time 6 grams of protein per (12) chicken Sausage protein(11) chicken 2 oz at a time hoping to have the full amount by the end of the day for 31 grams of protein and FF Ricotta for a snack later should bring me to 60. If I can truly eat this much!

How are you guys getting in your protein?

Truly, I've been getting an average of 40 grams. Somedays even 20 to 30. It really is hard. But one thing that always bumps it up is a premier Protein shake. Though I hate Protein shakes now. :-(

Greek yogurt also, the fage plain has 18grams of protein and very low carbs. And I always add some fruits and/or sugar free fruity Syrup to give it some taste. And I eat babybels as Snacks (light babybels give u 6gr of protein)

  7. I am glad you asked!!!!!!!!!

Before my surgery I drank on the average 3 liters of Water a day......Loved it, drank it, and had no issues...After surgery I no longer had the capacity to drink that much Water so now I aim for 64 oz.

When you are sleeved you will find that your tastes have changed and also the feeling in your sleeve that happens when you eat or drink. There is a restriction for a while and it is very difficult to do what they want you to do at first...Get 64 oz of water in..plus 60 m of Protein...It seems so much a huge amount. For the size of your sleeve...You feel like all you are doing is eating and drinking water all day long and not easily either....It becomes tedious and can be painful because our new sleeve is temperamental at first....

But as time goes by it does get easier to take that much in.....But like me others have found that just water makes them feel awful...i have to add flavor to it unless i am really warm....

Just as important as Protein is, so is the consumption of water to keep you hydrated and help tone muscles and help you to lose weight.....It also aids in keeping you regular.....K

    Well put!
