  1. I am also very busy at work and usually eat while I'm working. I pack food every morning. I normally do a shake for Breakfast. Then I take tuna salad, chicken salad, or deli meat rolled up white cheese for lunch. For Snacks I eat beef Jerky or turkey Jerky. I do not eat the round jerky sticks due to calories, fat and carbs. I have had issues with the Protein shakes since surgery 8 months ago. The only ones I can drink are the Syntrax nectar. They are thinner than other drinks and have a lot a flavors to chose from. I buy them at https://www.bariatricchoice.com/rewardsref/index/refer/id/113961/ and you can get 20.00 off your first order. I keep a container of the Protein at work and if I get to busy I can mix up a drink and have it while I'm working. This is how it meet liquid and protein goals for the day. I also take grilled chicken salads on some days. Hope this helps.

  2. I have been using Syntrax Nectar Protein. I have used it since 3 weeks post op. I could not drink the regular Protein Shakes after surgery due to becoming Lactose intolerant. I would get very sick after trying to drink on and it would take all to get just one down. Syntrax has many different flavors and is much thinner than the regular protein shakes. I love the Roadside Lemonade, fussy navel, Cappuccino, and the tea. Here is the web site I order them from and you get 20.00 off your first order.https://www.bariatricchoice.com/rewardsref/index/refer/id/113961/

  3. I was the same way after surgery. I tried so many Protein Shakes and wasted so much money. We finally figured out that I had become lactose intolerant after surgery. The syntax nectar is the only Protein Shake that I can use and not be sick. I love the Roadside Lemonade, fussy navel, and Cappuccino. This is the site I buy mine from. https://www.bariatricchoice.com/rewardsref/index/refer/id/113961/

  4. I am 7 months out from surgery. I do go out to eat with family and friends. If I know what place we are going to go I will get online and look at their menu. I do this so I can make the best food chose possible. A lot of times I will share a meal with someone. If I order a meal by myself I ask upfront for a to go container. Most times it is enough food for several meals for me. When we go to family events or cookouts I also choose food wisely. If they have hamburgers I will eat 1/2 of a patty, with toppings and no bread. I make sure I take fresh fruit and veggies so that I have other options besides the carbs and sweets. I no longer focus on food at family events. I actually look forward to the conversation more now. I come from a very large Native American family that most of us are overweight or obese. So I was worried about the family events. It has been much easier than I thought it would be. We just had a family reunion and it went great. Cousins commented on how little I eat compared to a year ago. Everyone was so supportive of my weight loss. I have three cousins that wanted more information about the surgery after they saw how much I have lost. This surgery opened the door for many conversations with them.
