  1. I'm a little over 9 months since surgery. I have lost 91% of the excess weight. I am hoping to be at 100% at the one year mark. I have had to work hard to get where I'm at. Not having any Thyroids has made the it a little harder. Doctors have been trying to get the right combination of meds to get thyroid counts were they should be. This has been an issue for over 14 years now. I only mentioned this to show that if I can get the weight off anyone that puts in the effort can do it.

  2. I have always loved to cook and have guests over. This has not changed since surgery almost 9 months ago. I love to try new recipes and make family favorites with fewer carbs and calories. my three boys and husband seem to get upset if I do not cook. I still make cakes, Cookies, brownies, dinner rolls, and other goodies. I just choose not to eat them. It does not bother me at all. I use splenda when baking instead of sugar. I have slowly changed things with how I cook and its better for everyone.

  3. They are all thinner like tea and lemonade. I like the fuzzy navel, Roadside Lemonade, chocolate truffle, and Cappuccino. I sometimes add crystal lite lemonade to the roadside lemonade. Then I mix the cappuccino with Decaf coffee and little skim milk. I have also mixed the chocolate truffle with decaf coffee and skim milk. These are my favorite flavors and gives me enough of a variety that I don't get bored with them. I did just order the lemon tea flavor. I have a friend that loves it. Hopes this helps.

  4. I am ten days away from being 9 months out from surgery. My surgery was October 30, 2013. I have lost well over a hundred pounds since the start of the journey. At my highest weight I was 309 pounds. This was the best thing that I have ever done for myself and my family. My health has improved so much. Blood pressure and A1C are back to normal. I have so much more energy than I have had any many years. I am at my lowest weight in more than 20 years. I feel so blessed to have this chance to change things for myself and family. Here are a few pictures of me during this journey. First picture May 2012, Second picture March 2014, and third picture July 16,post-184568-0-14800400-1405834427_thumb.jpg 2014 post-184568-0-71738100-1405834290_thumb.jpg post-184568-0-19582200-1405834469_thumb.jpg post-184568-0-43436800-1405834519_thumb.jpg

  6. Hi ladies. I'm feeling great. Weight lose has slowed down. I'm almost 9 months out from surgery. Nut set goal weight at 180 - 190. Doctor would like to see me at 173. I'm not sure about that weight. I have not been under 200 my whole adult life and I am almost 41. I will have arm lift done in late September or early October. Surgeon said I have to reach goal weight and be there 12 months before he will do Tummy Tuck and thigh lift. I'm very happy with where I am at. I wear a size 12 pants and large top. Once arms are done I should be able to wear a medium top. Right now I have to buy the large shirt to fit my arms. I'm at 192 lbs right now. I have lost 107 lbs so far. For anyone that has had thigh lift I would like to hear more about how things went and how much time off work that you had to take.

  7. I had my consult with surgeon today. He is willing to do my arms now even though I am only 8 months out from the sleeve surgery. I only have about 20 pounds left to lose. It is going to cost 3400.00 to have it done. Any other plastics will have to wait until I maintain for 12 months. I hope to have it done in late August. I will be having surgery on my legs for the varicose veins in Oct or November.
