  1. Wow, Kindle. That last sentence of assumption was so very disrespectful, whether you say you didn't mean it be or not.
  2. Hey guys, I haven't had my sleeve yet, but my best friend has. She always chewed on a straw for the first bit. One day I asked her why, she said "I miss chewing and this is just as crunchy". Just an option.
  3. Yeah, my boobs are HUGE already, and not that perky. I know once I have surgery and lose weight they are just gonna look like a rock in a sock in the end.
  4. You say he loves you and would do anything for you. What exactly does he do? No help financially. No help emotionally. I'm still trying to figure out what he does for you that is worth hanging onto other than the fact that you have a history together.
  5. I didn't even know crab meat came in a can.Lol
  6. Can't get any worse for me. I've had it for years. It does require me to already take vitamins and get b12 shots due to slight malabsorption. So when I do get sleeved, maybe I'll be one of those that only go every couple of days.Lol
  7. I've had this since my gall bladder removal in 08.
  8. Dehydration and potassium deficiencies can definitely do that
  9. My best friend had hers at Weightwise as well! She loved her doctor. I'm using Medicare Advantage (Humana) and had to go through a Center of Excellence and live in Durant. I drive to Norman and go to journey bc another friend recommended them. After researching I felt like they were right for me.
  10. Try going straight to the manufacturer. I get Lyrica (for my spinal stenosis) straight from Pfizer for no cost
  11. Journey has everything lined out too, but they insist on 4 nutrition appointments and they must be 30 days apart Of course you have your psych, physical therapy and a group session. sleep study, etc. but all of that is scheduled pretty quick. I'm excited to see how y'all's goes.
  12. Y'all are lucky to be using the same one. I'm going through journey clinic in Norman. I just got approved and my first NUT appt is the 30th. It took like a week for Medicare Humana to approve me, but the clinic itself requires specific things. I'm looking at December or January.
  13. Congrats! I'm an Okie, tooand just wanted to say good luck I'm looking at December for my surgery date so I'm gonna follow you and see how you're doing.
  14. I am rapid cycling bipolar and take Tegretol, Abilify and Lamictal. I do not want to change as this is a great combo for me that is working. I worry about the Tegretol absorption more than anything because they are always checking my blood serum levels to make certain I have the most stable amount of it in my system. It stinks when you have finally found what works for you and the thought of it working differently scares you. My psych has always said as long as my sleep isn't affected, then do not give yourself added anxiety over wondering if you're gonna crash. Hang in there and enjoy this energy. If it affects your sleep, then is the time to contact your psych.
  15. Wow, I'm the same height and weight. Exactly. I almost went to Mexico to have VSG done last year, but wavered at the last minute. Glad I did because new insurance allows it and it'll be at a Center of Excellence here in Oklahoma. I'm tired. Tired of hurting. Tired of being a hermit because of my embarrassment. I'm too young to feel this old and I'm tired of hiding behind my weight. One day you'll feel like me. When you do, you'll know and you won't need any convincing. This is your life. Isn't it about time you lived it to the highest degree that you can?
  16. Have you tried different temps of water? Some can only take ice cold, while others only tolerate room temp or warm.
  17. What antibiotics are they? My daughter thought she was having a yeast infection due to antibiotics and it only got worse. It turns out she is allergic to sulfa antibiotics.
  18. I haven't had my surgery yet but my best friend has. She's a year out and has a horrible addiction to shopping. Whether it's clothing or something on sale that "will make an excellent gift for (whomever, it could be anyone!)" She is truly addicted.
