    Any February 2014 Sleevers?

It was every hour. I'd go through a super tampon AND the pad underneath. No exaggeration. I need to get that ablation done.

    Any February 2014 Sleevers?

Last night I was cramping. I've never cramped on my period like now. Ever. I was curled up cramping so bad that I broke down and took a dose of my liquid codeine. Yeah.... Big mistake. Huge mistake. About 20 min later I woke up to pain in my stomach so severe that I honestly thought I must have a leak n was going to go to the ER. before I went, I remembered taking that on an empty stomach. I staggered into my kitchen and ate about a quarter of a container of sugar free pudding. Within 5 minutes my pain was gone. You live and you learn. This was at 3:30 in the morning. Jeez, I guess I need to log that as a snack. I forgot to do that. Lol

    Any February 2014 Sleevers?

6 week checkup was today. My surgeon was very pleased with my weightloss. Had nothing but praise for me. My underwear fall off now, I guess that's an NSV of sorts. Lol I'm cleared to exercise with resistance now so I'm excited to work out my arms. It's funny, she said 45 min of a brisk walk burns more calories than running for 10 min. I'm def gonna do some fast power walking and starting yoga. Looking and feeling better each day. Still can't drink anything room temp, has to be ice cold. Water brings on major nausea. Ugh. Other than that I'm a happy camper

Won't be cleared to do anything but walk until Thursday. I'm going to add in beginners yoga and the elliptical.

    Any February 2014 Sleevers?

I took 3 TBS this morning. Today is day 3 without going and I've felt like I needed to go all day yesterday. What's that saying? There I sat all broken hearted, needed to poop but only farted...

I never get on the scale more than once. My scale matches my PCP's scale perfectly and never thought about it. Lol

SJ, a level 10 pain at almost 6 weeks out is not "normal". Pain, sure. A level 10 in no way should be happening. At the least, knowing you ripped your scar tissue, they should give you decent pain reliever to take when you're not going to be driving.

I use bariatric fusion chewables. They are the consistency of a caramel, but without sticking to your teeth. I got the mixed berry flavor. Yum

Jeez, Jen, that sucks! I'm so sorry. But they're right, it could've been way worse. Thank goodness y'all are ok. Oklahoma has had so many earthquakes that it's unreal. Not huge, ground-ripping fissures, but about a 4.5 or so on the Richter. They seem to be everywhere. And it is scary and stressful. Leigh Anne, it is pretty awesome. I'm getting more and more motivated. I'm starting to feel and look better so I'm a happy girl.

    Pre op diet

I had to do 10 days of Lovenox (sp?) injections. Tiny little needles and no big deal. Just left some bruising. Nothing major, though.

    Bloated stomach!

I felt like that til I took milk of magnesia. Apparently it was gas and I needed to clean out my bowels.
  19. I've had 2c-sections, a vaginal delivery, my gallbladder removed and a tubal ligation... My sleeve was the worst surgery I've ever had as far as pain and recuperation. I just knew it would be a breeze and it wasn't. It's different for everyone.

THIS is how the first 4 weeks go...

Omg, my sister had that and it was agonizing to walk so I'm familiar with that pain. They made special insoles for her that ended up being just as painful and no help. As she lost it did get better though, so keep it in mind. (((Hugs)))

    Pre op diet

43 pounds since I started. 25 since surgery on feb 18. I had a pretty good stall that I think I broke as I'm a pound down today. As for energy, my doc says the first 3 months can be tiresome. That it'll come back as my body adjusts to the fewer calories.

    Any February 2014 Sleevers?

It's usually about 3-4 months out, but it doesn't happen to everyone.

THIS is how the first 4 weeks go...

Not to discourage others, as I'm honestly truly happy for those that have a fast recovery, but I'm 5 weeks out and am still very fatigued. Very. It doesn't matter that I reach Protein and liquid goals. I feel like crap most days after 4 pm because I'm still so tired. I also bent and ripped scar tissue about 1.5 weeks after I was home. So even if you FEEL great, take it easy the first 6 weeks as far as bending and lifting. I fight nausea each and every day. This is my 5th surgery and hardest recovery I've ever had. It isn't all roses and butterflies for everyone. Roses have thorns and butterflies were once caterpillars. No matter how long it takes just keep pushing on. I firmly believe in this surgery and wouldn't change it for the world, but each individual is on a separate journey. I think it's a bit wrong to compare recoveries and weightloss against other patients. April
