Congratulations! I am glad to hear you are doing so well. It only gets better.

Congratulations! You look great!

My surgeon said the fifth incision is for a tool that holds up your liver. So there is an advantage to following the diet and your liver being shrunk. Congrats on your surgery.
Thanks! You too!

I will say this when it comes to cheating. My surgeon only used 4 incisions instead of five due to my liver being shrunk so much. This was because I stuck to the diet. But I did almost cheat one time.
I woke up with 4 incisions as well. I wonder if I did a good shrinking job too?

Should I feel like a failure only losing 64 pounds including pre op diet in 7months?
Ummm no! That's 64 pounds that would still be there had you done NOTHING at all. I'm sure it makes a huge difference health wise! Congrats!

During my 2 week liquid diet my son brought me 1 BBQ potato chip every day. I really looked forward to that 1 chip.
This made me lol! My Birthday was 3/17. I ate cake ( 1 small piece)! Deal with it!!

I guess my question is why would you allow them to touch you after all of the red flags and creepy feelings? If this story is true I'm flabbergasted!

I used CVS/Caremark online and they called for my Apex information. I would try again if I were you.Just got an email saying that I'm approved. Shipment should be here in 3-4 business days. I also got the Vitamins and scar cream! I have Apex insurance and CVS/Caremark for prescriptions.
Did you use the Apex info., or the CVS/Caremark info when applying online? I tried with my Aetna health and was turned down, and then asked if they could "run" it with my CVS/ Caremark and they told me no. It needed to be my Aetna, and not my prescription card. But, technically this is a prescription, correct?? I was turned down but tempted to try again with my CVS/Caremark card online.
Did anyone else use their prescription card only, to apply, and get approved?

I agree! The amount of money these surgeons are getting is mind blowing! And trust me when I say it's worth every penny! But, they should all bend over backwards to make things financially easier for their patients when possible! Protein Shakes are NOT inexpensive!

Just received my shipment! 4 18 count cartons of shakes (half chocolate/half vanilla), liquid vitamins, and scar cream! I have some papers to sign and send back and then the shipments should come automatically every month! This was easier than I thought!

Thanks for sharing! So happy you are feeling well! That was quite an ordeal! The health benefits you have reaped from the sleeve should make it worth it all in the end.
