  1. Ramble away' date=' it's interesting stuff. I was sleeved 8/11. I was nil by mouth for 24 hours then on to Water for the next 24 hours before moving on to full liquids. I was so down as I was sooo hungry. But then, 48 hours after surgery I got my period. After I moved on to puree my hunger really settled down. But, that time of the month rolled around and the hunger was back! I have PCOS so the hunger is before, during and for a couple of days after. Im so glad to know i'm not alone in this. And its good to hear what your NUT advised. Isnt it funny how we can eat more without discomfort at 'that' time... Thankfully, with PCOS the less you weigh the milder the symptoms. So I'm hoping that the hunger will decrease in severity as time goes on. What is really bugging me though is this incessant wind! I have never tooted so much and when I eat and drink I gargle like an old drain. When will this stop..... Lol![/quote']

I do pretzel crisps which come flavored and there's 55 calories in 5. I do them with the 2% Cracker Barrel individual cheese bars which are 70 calories. So I'm getting a snack and Protein.< /p>

  2. Hello everyone I had my sleeve and gall bladder removed on 8/5. I spent 6 days in the hospital because I didn't last the upper GI test the day after surgery due to swelling. The same day of the surgery I was able to stand and get out bed. By day 3 I was walking around but in pain. The two incisions by my belly button hurt the most.

I went back to work after two weeks but by the afternoon I was tired.

I still have some little tightness internally by my incisions when I do too much or lift more than 10lbs. I stopped taking pain meds 3 days after returning home.

I'm five week post op and feeling good. At two weeks I was down 22lbs. I have not weighed myself since. I'm waiting for my 8 week appt to see how much more I'm down

As far as eating. I struggle to get down 1oz of Protein and most days I don't even get down the veggie or starch. I'm hoping it gets better

  3. So I'm about 5 weeks post op and I do 1 Protein Shake a day. I use the Pure Protein powder and 1 scoop is 25g of protein and 150 calories with milk that's 35g of protein and 250 calories. My protein goal is 60-70 a day and I get half my protein from this shake. It's good in vanilla and kind of taste like piña colada to me but its easy for me to drink in 30-45 mins. I drink it for Breakfast or snack or lunch. My schedule has been looking like this:

Breakfast: 1 large scrambled egg with 2%cheese

    Mid morning: pure protein shake

Lunch: tuna salad or ground chicken

Mid afternoon: Dannon oikos Greek yogurt 12g protein

Dinner: ground meat, spinach/broccoli/green Beans or sweet potatoes
