  1. Oh I'm glad you posted this! I haven't tried them post Op. My tummy is so sensitive. Plus I'm not a fan of vomiting. I feel like I'm the only one on here that isn't jumping for joy. My tummy still aches after 10 days. My doc says it's the nerves, but I'm so sick of taking the medicine they gave me. It puts me into a deep slumber. Although I do like that, but I feel like my life is slipping away.

I was nauseous until I hit three weeks out from surgery. Keep taking your meds, and all of a sudden you will feel better one day.

  2. I had my surgery on Monday, and came home Tuesday night. The home health nurse removed my drain today. I'm doing pretty well. Still some pain...I'm thankful for the pain meds. Each day gets better. I'm having trouble getting all my Protein in. I'm told that will come. I see my surgeon on Monday. I'm looking forward to that appointment. I wish all the best to the upcoming sleevers for next week. I did it - you can too.

  3. I am 4 days post op, and only getting about 25 grams of Protein in per day. I am getting enough Water as my output is good. I am only allowed to drink 15ccs every 15 minutes of Water or Protein shakes. My surgeon's nurse says not to worry, the Protein will come. It is more important to stay hydrated, which I'm doing pretty well on.

Were you drinking more than 15ccs at a time at this stage? I've tried 30 ccs, and that has gone down ok.

    Thanks.

  4. I had my surgery on Monday. It was a little rough going at first, but I was able to go home on Tuesday night.

I'm sore and still taking pain meds every 4 hours. I'm having trouble getting all my Water and Protein in. My surgeon's office told me to keep working at it.

I have no regrets on having the surgery. I know I just have to get through this tough part. I think it will help to get my drain removed on Saturday. Home health care is going to do that.

    We can do this guys.

  5. My surgery is Monday too! Time is going so slow for me as well. I'm glad I'm not alone. I went to Bible study last night. Today I mowed lawn. Tomorrow is laundry. I don't know about Saturday yet. Sunday is church and football watching. Then it's our big day!

I'm sorry to hear about all the flooding in CO. It's dry here in Michigan.

Take care. I'll say a prayer for you. Try reading. I have a good mystery going right now.
