  1. my surgeons office held an informative session/class. I signed two days later. Then wait for approval. My dr required a 1200 calorie diet two weeks prior. That started a couple days after consent signing and until the day before surgery. Good luck!!
  2. Surgery went well. Thankful I had no nausea or dizziness. Pain isn't that bad. Seems more like sore muscles.
  3. Home sweet home too. Had surgery 10/21. Nurses were amazing @ hospital. Went in being very nervous but came out really excited. Pain is tolerable. Biggest problem for me is sleeping. Can't manage to get comfortable. Hope everyone else is doing well too!!
  4. I'm also sleeved!! Worried myself too about pain. Not nearly as bad as I though it would be. Have walked around several times Definitely helps. Have leak test sometime this morning then if I pass i get some liquids. I'm very dry and would love a few sips of water. No nausea either. Hope everyone else is doing well!
  5. Good luck tomorrow everyone!! I am excited, at the moment less nervous, but that will change. Trying to distract myself with walks and laundry.. Can't wait to see how were all doing later this week!!
  6. me too.. Or hopefully done! Good luck to all!!
  7. good luck!! I'm the 21st @ Overlook in NJ
  8. I'm also the 21st. Since my dr office called this morning, I've been all over the place... Scared, excited, anxious too. Good luck Monday!!
  9. Ha ha. I have had pizza night every Friday since I was little. I totally feel your pain!
  10. Multi, iron, d, b12, biotin, calcium.
  11. I had hiatal hernia diagnosed with endoscopy as part of my pre-op testing. I had awful heartburn and my dr assumed that's why. It's due to be repaired when I am sleeved. 10/21... Almost here!
  12. I too wasn't ready to tell people at work. I'm also having a hiatal hernia repaired, so I went with that. However I did tell a close friend I work about the sleeve and hernia. I still have brothers to tell....
  13. Good luck!! I'm next Monday too!! Still more excited than nervous but I'm sure that will change as the week goes on!!
  14. this is what I use too. Got mine at Wegman's. Also sold a The Vitamin Shoppe. It's really good.
  15. Me too. Hiatal hernia discovered during pre-op endoscopy. Dr said he will fix when he does sleeve. Said its normal to do both at same time.
  16. me too! what is your pre-op like? I have 2 weeks high protein low carb - 1200 calories. Feel like I passed a hurdle w/ day 5. Good luck!!
  17. Got APPROVED!! Funny thing is I heard from my insurance company & not my dr's office! Getting annoyed with the lack of return calls and emails.
  18. . I have been "scheduled" for 10/21 almost a month. At my pre-op appointment Friday my navigator says she'll call to check on approval. I was wondering what the wait was... Still haven't heard. Good luck - I hope you hear soon!
  19. Just finished day one of two-week pre op diet. My doctor has a light diet - lean protein and veggies mostly. Not sure why it has no fruit. Surprised I miss it after only a day...
  20. Congrats! Wishing you a speedy recovery!!
