  1. I am still in the soft food stage; I'm following my doctor's dietary guidelines strictly; I can't wait to be able to eat normal food; I know I'll be able to feel more human then- not that I will splurge, but it'd be nice to occasionally have something different to eat aside from meat...an beans! I'm very happy that I got this surgery; though the progression through the stage has been difficult I'm almost at the stage where I can eat normal foods- I think my doctor has me on the soft food stage until I'm 6 months out...
  2. And I've lost about 65 pounds, including my pre-op weight loss... I look good; I'm getting lots of compliments- I'm weighing 157.8 as of last Wednesday...I haven't weighed that since I was in high school! My husband likes it; I actually feel sexier! But yet I kinda wish I was able to have a small piece of bread or some chips and salsa This whole not drinking and eating at te same time has been hard too... Today was just a hard day...or maybe I should say it's been some hard days... For a brief second today I kinda wish I had my old body just so I could eat a burger and fries- but I thought "WTF am I thinking" Some days are harder than others- today was definitely not a good day emotionally...
  3. I'm starting to get into the loose skin stage; getting a little annoyed but also liking how much smaller I look! I started of at 234 (HW) and weighed in last Wednesday at 157.6! I'm a size 10-12 right now but I know that if I didn't have this flab+Post- baby fat I'd be in the single digits! Really considering plastic surgery!
  4. During the soft stage which I'm in right now; And I didn't like it! My taste buds have changed! Sleeved 8/26 11 weeks post op
  5. And I want to eat regular foods already! Still in soft foods... I follow my doctors orders exactly...scared to do otherwise; but I see a whole lot of people already eating pizza; bread etc. I'm not going back to my old ways but every now and then it'd be nice to fulfill my sweet tooth or craving with a small bite!
  6. I look and feel A LOT younger! I'm 31 and I look to be in my early/mid 20s- when I get hit on they can't believe I'm 31 (married and with 2 kids!)
  7. Goal was 160- I met that yesterday! Woohoo me! Guess I need to come up with a new goal! New goal weight: 150 lbs.
  8. Sleeved 8/26 Last Wednesday I weighed in at 162.8 (HW 234) I'd like to get down to my goal weight of 140 and then get a tummy tuck! Anyone else contemplating reconstructive surgery? How can I get my insurance to pay for it?!
  9. Sleeved 8/26 HW:234 CW: 168 I'm in Goal by thanksgiving: 160
  10. Sleeved 8/26 10 weeks out and still on soft foods; I want to resume with regular eating; When were you able to eat all foods??
  11. Is red meat okay to eat during the soft stage?
  12. Leeched 8/26 Been having a slight discomfort/dull pain these last 2 days- Anyone experienced before?
  13. Sleeved 8/26 I have not been getting all my Water, Protein and Vitamins in... I started this whole process back in May- where my highest weight was at 229 I am now at 168- I feel very hungry and I'm having a hard time eating slowly so I've been experiencing the sliming effect this week- I know I need to eat slow but it is very hard for me to do because I am an on-the-go type of person...always on the clock! I am loving the way my body has changed- my brother in law said I looked like a whole different person and it felt good to hear that- I might add that I'm actually wearing some cute little tight jeans that make me feel kinda "sexy"- haven't had that feeling in forever- I weigh in once a week so we'll see where I'm at tomorrow... I'm also struggling with this whole not drinking 30 minutes before/after a meal... Never realized how difficult it would be to adjust to this new lifestyle...
  14. Man I'm feeling like a pig right now!
  15. And I was not full... Do people seriously get full with an egg? Because I don't :/ Sleeved 8-26
  16. I am in a very difficult place right now emotionally; I'm 6 weeks post-op today and will be starting soft foods tomorrow; I wish I could eat a cookie; or a piece of cake- maybe some chips and salsa or a slice of pizza; I've been following all of my dr.'s orders; though I rarely get all my Water and Protein in- I just feel depressed...and I'm not sure why- overwhelmed and stressed; juggling the many hats I wear on a daily basis as well as changing my whole eating has put the cherry on top and I'm not in a good place right now... Almost had a breakdown today :/ Anyone felt like this before?
  17. Starting my soft diet tomorrow- can I have a biscuit?
  18. I'm 6 weeks post-op and I feel the same way! It was a rough day today :/ I found myself wanting to munch on some chips, craving a cheeseburger and fries and pizza- all of it! Oh and the donut too... This is a hard journey; my cravings have not disappeared; I almost wish I could be my old self for a day so I can eat all the delicious food I'm missing-
  19. Sleeved 8/26 Wishing I could eat a cheeseburger; I'm in the pureed stage right now and get to move into soft foods on Wednesday; Struggling right now because I want my regular comfort foods
  20. Sleeved 8/26- Anyone else sleeved about the same time and drinking coffee?? I was told I couldn't drink coffee after surgery but I see a lot of people saying that they drink coffee- I miss it! What were your instructions regarding coffee??

  22. We went to our neighbors house last night and they made a paella dish; mix of all types of meats with rice; more like a seafood dish- I had already had dinner prior to going as I didn't know they'd be serving dinner; But it was so hard!! I didn't want to be rude and not eat this delicacy our friend took his time to make... So I ended up just eating and picking at all the meat on the plate- I had 4 chicken dumplings with 2 shrimp 1 oyster and was stuffed- Maybe I shouldn't feel so bad- I stuck with my Protein only but this was the first day I ate more than usual; How do you deal with these situations!? Any comforting words appreciated!
