Joan,
I am 5+ weeks out and would recommend this to anyone. I am about 90#s down since the middle if October and feel great. The two things I can say us follow your Dr.'s advice, their program will work!!! The second thing would be be prepared for the worst, and hope for the best. It is major surgery, there is a possibility of some issues!! But even a few minor things make this surgery worth it!!!

Surgery was 11/4. Down 45 pounds since surgery, 75 since 10/16. Everything went well.

Lyn,
Just about 3 weeks out here and nothing out of the ordinary!!! I think recovery is about attitude, not all of it but a good part of it is. This process isnt painless , it isnt easy but it is worth it!!!

I have no problem talking about my surgery but understand why others do. I know people judge me by my weight, HW was almost 500, why do I care if they judge me about how I am trying to lose it? I dont...
What I do care about is my health. If you are supportive of my decision, thanks!! If you have negative comments, oh well.

Have the same pain as well, i just figured it was the biggest hole so it would hurt the most..

I think I am calling my stomach the Gurgler.. all it does is gurgle.

Day 3 post op . It does get easier as you go. Having a hard time drinking cold Water. Gas pain is gone for the most part, but very sore. Taking a lot less pain medication. Glad to be home and clean!!! Walking a lot, trying to drink a lot and sipping, sipping, sipping.
Having trouble figuring out being full but getting better at it. Overall it is a lot easier than I thought it was going to be.

Pre-op visit with surgeon today, then surgery on 11/4.
Not nervous (yet!?!?!) but excited to be past it. I have faith in my surgical team, they are the best in the area, deal with high risk surgeries (me) all the time and I know all will be well.
Good luck to all of us in November!!!

Hi Chris I have Dr Rantis and have surgical date one week after you. I just started the shakes this weekend and they aren't as bad as some I have had on fasting diets. Looking forward to surgery and I would love to hear how you are doing as the procedure progresses.I will definately keep you updated!!! 7 days abs counting!!!

Just finished day 8 of 14 and its been good. Had a rough day yesterday, due to a crazy night at work, but I made it through . People say I am a little on edge but it isnt that bad .... Keep your eye on the prize!!!

How much weight have the one week post op sleevers lost? I've only lost 7 lbs and I'm kind of discouraged.7 pounds in a week is great!!! Do not be discouraged!! Everyone loses at a different rate but you will lose if you follow your program!!!

Dont regret not eating your favorite foods. You will be able to eat them again, that is if you want to.
I think you will find that your tastes will change after your surgery. Sweets will be too sweet, fried foods too greasy. This is your chance to break a cycle of bad eating, rediscover food in a healthy way. In a few months, you wont even know why you missed some if the foods you crave now!!
