    What is your biggest vice?

I'm from Aus living in Singapore and Now I can't stop thinking about real chicken chips ahhhhh
  2. Also make sure you wear your compression socks as blood clots are a def risk and of course plenty of fluid
  3. Hi my husband and I had our opp in QLD and live in Singapore. We were aloud to fly 2 weeks after opp. You will however need to wear the support socks to prevent clots and need to drink more the day before and day of flight to prevent dehydration. Good Luck hope you have a great time
  4. Merry Xmas everyone. We are in London for Xmas and it's been a lot harder to find sleeve friendly food than I thought it would be. We are 9 weeks out today, my husband has picked up a bug so I am being the annoying one trying to get him to drink so he doesn't dehydrate. Hopefully he will be better by tomorrow so we can enjoy our Xmas Day
  5. Liss you look amazing ! Have a great Xmas

    Fitness Training Without The Trainer

    Palmers Coconut oil is fantastic
  7. Trust me living in Asia they just didn't have cloth's to fit me so I would have to wait until I went back to Aus to buy new cloths and underwear or find fabric and a picture of something I like on-line to take to the tailors to have made. So go through the wardrobe and anything you love that you would like to get more wear out but it doesn't fit take it with you and have it altered.
  8. Hi Misty why not take the black dress with you to India. Try it on a couple of days before you come home. If it's to big visit a tailor in India ( one of your contacts there will know of a great tailor) then have the tailor make some alterations for you. They will prob be able to do it overnight and will cost practically nothing. I take material with me or cloth's that don't fit whenever I go to Bali, Malaysia or Bangkok and have things made or altered. India is very much the same.
  9. I'm 6 weeks out tomorrow. Anyone know if it is okay to start planking at this stage? All we have done so far is walking.
  10. Misty a great tip someone gave me. To dry any wound with a hair dryer on cool to prevent infection or to clear it up quicker. This is something I do and I have never had a prob.

    Bra After Surgery?

I had planned to wear one but couldn't total restriction was unbearable. 4 weeks out and I'm still not wearing a bra at home. I put it on just before I leave the house and it comes off the minute I'm in the door. I'm quiet org so would never have done this in the past. Since surgery it feels like I'm squeezing my midriff way to tight when I have it on and also find it difficult to eat or drink with it on.
  12. Wow so many prob trying to get back to the site but finally working. My husband and I are back in Singapore and doing well. He has lost 17.5kg and I have lost 12kg in 3 weeks today. Our Surgeon Dr Lockie and his team were fantastic, everything went really well and we will continue our phsycology and dietician appointments through video conferencing. Thanks for all of the advise from everyone on this site it has helped us so much. Sorry we didn't get to catch up with you Kellie while we were there but we will possible be back to see Dr Lockie the first 1/2 of next year so maybe we can catch up then. Hope the surgery goes well Misty

    October Sleevers - Who else

My husband and I were sleeved on Tues and out of hospital yesterday. We are staying in a self contained apartment in Brisbane for 2 weeks for after care with the surgeon and his team and then fly back to Singapore. Feeling tired but know that this is probable one of the best things to ever happen to us.
  14. Thanks everyone both a little nervous around meal times at the moment. All a learning experience as we are both different. Things that sit well with me may not sit well with him in the interim. Amazed at the lack of appetite I have read about it so much but experiencing it is another thing altogether.
  15. So we are done ! We stayed an extra night in hospital as I was suffering from a bit of nausea but all seems okay now. Just need to concentrate on fluids for the next week until we go back to see the Dr. Dr Phil Lockie and his wife Shirley Lockie (ass & co-ordination) are an amazing team
  16. Thanks Bec Leaving for the hospital in about 15min. Yeah almost time
  17. I know it's like I blinked and it was here
  18. Thanks so much Kelli, I thought I was going to pass out today at the pre opp appointment. They told us we would have to give each other injections for the next 2 weeks while are here to prevent DVT because of the flights to and from Singapore. I HATE needles so needless to say I wasn't smiling. We just did it and it wasn't to bad but a huge shock. Thanks again, see how we go over the next week and if all is good if you have some free time maybe we can catch up for coffee.
  19. Hi arrived Sat we have a pre opp meeting with Dr Lockie today and then surgery tomorrow morning. Very excited
  20. Have you tried it yet? If so how did it go, do you drink it straight or in water?
