  1. I had surgery in October of last year, and I've done great! I've lost 80lbs, I had no complications. And I don't think my complications are with my surgery now.... But for about 2 months I've had a fever persistently, that my doctor diagnosed as "fever of unknown origin" I stay weak, and tired. My muscles ache, my head always hurts, I stay nauseated especially in the mornings, (and no I'm absolutely not pregnant). I'm extremely anemic and I have to go get an Iron infusion this week so maybe that will help with the weakness, and some of the other symptoms. But I was just wondering, has anyone else found other health problems as they start losing weight? My surgeons office said it wasn't related to my surgery but I think I may ask my surgeon next appointment.

  2. I know everyone has a different diet and different restrictions, but I need an idea of how everyone is doing about 6 weeks out. What does your menu look like? How are you exercising? liquid and Protein intake? progress?

I've lost a lot of weight in the beginning but it's slowing wayyyy down. I'm realizing that I haven't been following all of the rules and eating so well. So, I need some ideas!!!

  3. I am a week and a half post-op and I want to start exercising. The only instructions I have from my surgeon is no heavy lifting for 6 weeks. He told me to do things as I felt like it. So what are some good work outs in the beginning?

  4. On post-op day 3 I could start eating foods like refried Beans, cottage cheese, eggs, Soups, mashed potatoes, etc. I'm only on post op day 4 and I ate about 320 calories today between Protein Drink, Vitamin chews, and all of the food I ate. I know this would sound stupid to a normal person but is this too many calories following the surgery? I don't want to eat too much!!! I guess I'm just scared of doing anything that would sabotage this. Everything I've eaten I've logged and it's all been healthy, and it's been a sugar free fat free diet... But... Calories? Help! Thanks!

  5. I was also sleeved on 10/8. I have some discomfort when I take a breath. Has anyone experienced this before? I have nausea when I drink ANYTHING and I have to take zofran all day. I also have a nasty taste in my mouth and it smells horrible lol

I just got out of the hospital (sleeved 10/10) and when I was in I felt like I couldn't breathe at all. In fact, I still have some problems taking a deep breath. I think it's just the pain or maybe even the gas? Not sure.

  6. Best wishes I'm happy for you I'm 3 days post op down 8.5lbs. The procedure is so worth it keep us posted
. How are you doing with pain and nausea?? My pain on the pain scale has been above 8 since surgery and I'm constantly nauseated. But I'm getting better... I think. Gas pains are still intense but I've done great walking.

  7. Be been hoping this day would come, and now it's here!!! I'm so excited I don't know that I'll sleep. I have to be up at 3am to get ready to go to the hospital so this really is happening!!! I lost 20lbs on my 7 day pre-op diet! I can't wait to see how I do after! Any one else having surgery tomorrow?

  8. I've been open about it so far because of my excitement, so there is no going back now. My only fear now is that something will cause me not to have the surgery, even though I already have my date and everything set up. I just don't want to have to deal with everyone seeing me heartbroken. So I wish I would've waited until after surgery to tell everyone, but it's too late. I guess I'm just being negative. Lol. Just don't wanna be disappointed. But come October 10th when surgery is over, I will be glad that I was open about it....

  9. Personally I had no real pain that required heat or ice. Nor did I experience gas pain. I highly recommend walking as much as possible. I walked all the time in hospital and as soon as I got home. Before I left for surgery I mapped out a one mile loop. I was walking that the day after surgery. I also walked up and down the driveway after every meal/shake/liquid. I'm three weeks out and walk either two miles a day or go to gym and do cardio for 45 minutes. I feel great' date=' like I didn't have surgery at all!! Good luck and best wishes!![/quote']

Wow!!!! That's awesome!!!!! And thank you!!!
