  1. I also am struggling. I am 18 months post off. The 1st year 165 melted off. This last 6 months I have only lost 30 pounds. I have had to fight for every pound. I still have 35 or 40 pounds to go. I am hungry again and feel like I can eat a lot. It's a struggle but I am hanging in there. I now realize that this was only a tool And its a struggle everyday....i will make it happen and not gain the weight back!

I had more than 200 lbs to lose. I am 18 months out and have lost 195 pounds. I still have 35 to 40 pounds to go. The weight loss doesn't come nearly as easy as it used to. The 1st 165 pounds just fell off. I have had to work hard for every pounds after that. If I can do it anyone can do it. U got this!!!

  3. Anytime I eat something my sleeve doesn't like, I get cramping. I would advise as you introduce foods slowly, only do a small bite & see how it goes. Once I got out of liquid stage, I found it hard to do some of the soft stuff at first ( couldn't even eat just one whole scrambled egg for a while) but it got better. Couldn't tolerate Peanut Butter. Everyone is different....so be patient & listen to your body :-)

  4. Ah, I finally found the right forum for me. I'm 417lbs and want the sleeve but doc is recommending bypass. Doesn't sound right for me for so many reasons so I'm thrilled to see so many success stories with similar starting weights and great successes. I'm committed to the process and feel I'll have great success with the sleeve. I hear it's not really very easy to stretch like you hear people talk about because it's actually the less stretchy part and more muscular part of the stomach that the sleeve is made from. Have others heard this too? So happy to have found you all.

I started at 410. I was sleeved 09.27.2013. I'm down 110 pounds. Current weight 300. I still have aways to go. But hey it's working and I'm not even a full 6 months out yet.

  5. Maybe you can ask the surgeon in Mexico what will happen if you have complications. I was sleeved in Mexico. I asked my dr and he told me I would stay at his hospital in Mexico and he would take care if it. I did not have to purchase any extra insurance. The drawback is I would have to get to Mexico (I'm Only a six hour drive). Since my insurance covered EKG and bloodwork before surgery as long as it was not coded to wls I was sure they would cover dehydration . I decided to take my chance and thank GOD everything went fine.
