I live in Chico!! Waiting in insurance approval! Hoping for surgery in early Nov!

So they finally send offy paperwork to insurance yesterday!! Hoping they get back to me next week! I am just so nervous !! Having my surgery in Chico Ca Eric Simchuck is my doc Ht 5'4 wt 212 goal wt is 130

Have done all my pre-op requirements done and now all they are waiting on is the proof of my hypertension from my primary MD. All it is is a simple fax and thy still haven't done it and it's been a week! I called them last week and promised to send it today. Of course they didn't . It's stressing me out! I need I get my surgery in 2013 so I can use my flex spending account money or I will lose it! Grrr

They just sent my paperwork off to the insurance and here I wait . I am scared and nervous . What if they deny me?? This anxiety is awful.

I am done with all my intake except my EGD which is scheduled on 10/21. I am still waiting for my insurance approval. Which I hope to get this eek or next. I think once I get the official approval it will feel more real!

Hi! Just had my psych eval today and it went well. She believes I am a good candidate . Monday I have my nutrition consult and then they send it off to the insurance for approval ! I still have to have EGD done which they said they would do after the approval comes in . My doc is so busy that his schedule is full 6 weeks in advance so I am thinking another 8 weeks or so!! I am getting excited!!

Interesting... They just asked me how long I have been over weight for .. They never checked up on it that than I am aware of

My BMI is 36.6 and I take Meds and still have hypertension. I am doing psych eval and my nutritional consult Friday. I want this surgery do bad! I am just thankful I don't have a waiting period .

Are you now 35 or greater?? That freaks me out!! I have been up and down !!

Apply for credit cards.. Go to a credit union ask for a loan. Ask if you can make payments!!

You will be fine!! Wish I could be moved up! Just think! You will be many pounds down by Christmas!

For me i am blessed with insurance that does not make you have a waiting period!! Whew! My requirements are BMI of 40 or BMI of 35 with other health problems. I suffer from severe hypertension even with medications. I just have to have a nutrition consult and a psych consult and an EGD. I am scheduled for the 27th for the two consults and my doc said he would preform the EGD the next week. He said it all is good i can be scheduled for the end of OCT but i want to wait until after Halloween due to a pre planned trip. I am just scared i am going to have this procedure and lose like 10 pounds!! I know i am just being crazy but I am just so tired of living in this body!!

I guess i should feel lucky. I have Blue Cross insurance. No waiting period. They just had me write down the ways i have attempted to lose weight. Doc said my wait period is no longer than 8 weeks. I am sorry babe. Hang in there!!

Hello..My Name is Teresa. I am 37 years old. Have a wonderful hubby, three kids, a dog and a job that keeps me busy. I am 5'4 217 pounds and I have been approved for my VGS and plan to have surgery in Nov. 2013. I am so concerned that after i have surgery i am not going to lose weight. Awesome!! I met my surgeon last week and its a go! I have to have a EGD first and do my nutrition meeting and psych eval. My doc said its about a six week wait due to his schedule!
