Hubby and I did lots of research looking for a doc that has a good reputation, a good surgen and at a reasonable cost as we were self pay. We found Dr. Dirk Rodriguez in Dallas Texas. Absolutely loved him and his office staff. Would use him again.

Surgery went great!!! Still having some stomach spasms but feel pretty good over all. Haven't been able to get in all the fluids or protein. But that will come in time. The best part both of us have already lost 10 lbs since our weigh in on Thursday morning. Love being on the losers bench!! And Sandy you will be there with us soon!!!!

How are you feeling? Not to bad!!! If I move around to much my tiny tummy hurts Sort of like spasms. I have been sleeping a lot!!! Keeping fluids down. And ambulating with out prob. My incision sites are not sore at all. My husband seems to be feeling better than I am.

I can't believe the day is here. hubby and I are scheduled for 7:00 and 8:45 tomorrow morning!!!! I can't believe the hospital has no semi-private rooms. We will be in different rooms!!!!!!!! So excited and a little nervous!!

We are having our surgery at Forest Park in Dallas. Only a few min from our house. Have a safe trip!!!!! And good luck hope all goes great for both of us!!! Let me know.

I know!! We are lucky on not having a pre op diet. But OH MY GOSH!!!! Have we eaten the past 2 weeks. Crazy!!;

I guess I'm the first surgery of the year!!!!! Wonder if I get lots of gifts like the first baby gets!!!!!! Lol Mine is this Thursday Jan 2nd.

That is exactly what we think!! Holidays are over time to move forward with our new lives. My husband is also having surgery the same day. Team effort!

Can't believe our surgery is in 4 days!!! Thursday is going to be here before I know it! Time went so slow for so long---now time is flying by. I have so much to do this week. At least we will have New Year's Day to get some stuff done. Hope we have everything we need.

Sharrene, that is what we are taking. Also added Biotin for hair loss and calcium with d3....I'm over 50. Need that.

It is awesome. All the getting ready for surgery has been easier to have my own support group right in my own home. My sister also had it done in March of this year. You have my same sentiments. Getting past first week post op. Can't wait for Jan 9th to be here. Lol

I found the solution to this problem.....my husband is also having VGS the same day I am...Jan 2nd.

I am really nervous about not being able to eat pasta. That is probably why I have been craving it like crazy e past few weeks. I on dear if there is Italian flavored protein drinks?!?!?! If so I'm in!! Lol

Hi all! My husband and I are scheduled for VGS Jan 2..Just 5 days from now. We are so excited. Have been cleaning out the pantry and the freezer for things that we will not be eating any longer. We have gotten out protein shakers, our protein drinks and our vitamins. All ready for Thursday. Dr. Rodriguez does not require a pre op diet. So New Years Eve we are having a nice steak and lobster dinner then eat lightly on Wednesday. Then Thursday show up bright and early to the beginning of our new life on the loosing side!!! So ready to get this party started!!!!

Y'all are making me worry!! My husband and I are scheduled for VHS Jan 2. We ride a Harley I wonder if we will have this problem. My butt already hurts after a while on there.
