You attacked my attitude i never would question someone’s Christianity... and i don’t believe that i have attacked anyone personally... I want debate and debate sometimes gets ugly…. But you’re right we do sometimes trend to get into partisan bickering but I have yet to read any real personal attacks. But if you felt it was persona ...i guess it was personal... sorry i'm not mad ....i'm blunt and i have always been and always will be so .... i'm sorry if that is a problem.

No i am i THINK what you could consider middle class I’m single i come from a middle class family i make a little over 45k and i live in California... You know what not that i spell it out.... I’m probably lower middle class... any who i have had to pay more and more on my taxes than i ever have before.... I’m in school for my overpriced bachelors degree mortgage and i am already broke enough and now i have decided to go to grad school well i fear for my economic stability( well not so much anymore OBAMA!!!!) Working with my manager who is a good friend of mine ... we figured out that at his current wage and mine he pays about 34% in his taxes... I pay about 37.6%... not he has broken the 270k mark and i barely took second in the race for 45k. so how is that fair... my boss doesn’t and he makes that much money... the thing that kills me is that there are so many people who dot make that much money, that don’t have anything to gain from there ultra conservative views yet they fight progress every step of the way. btw I’m find it really( actually i don't really care) you think I’m sour but I guess that’s a personal problem but… you can read my post … I’m not concerned if people think I’m sour… sour people spark conversation and that’s exactly what I’m trying to do here (so :cool2: )

R look I know that I often come across harsh... and I’m not saying that you don't have a right to your opinion thank you for the clarification. But if you have red my thread from the beginning I think you can kind of understand that things sometimes get tense here. And in my other thread.... it’s just that I am real empathetic towards the plight of others and the simple fact at this point that the outbound (giddy because we are done with Bush) administration FAILED in a major way. And not just once but multiple times... the literature is all around us.. On the net in print... things are really bad right now. If the World hates you there is nothing to be proud about. When America becomes a country that other countries look at and say "don’t be like that" I can’t be proud about that no matter what’s going on. The world is not filled with stupid people if they don’t like us it means that something is going wrong. It went from I’m proud to be an American to I’m glad I’m an American because we collectively as a country have been raining havoc on the world for 8 long years. It’s to the tune now that even the (so called) Iraqis that we "liberated" want us gone.... That is a big problem... They want us gone so bad the president of Iraq didn’t even wait till the election was over to back Obamas plan to start the drawdown of troops. Those are just the facts... I’m sorry for going off but is any of that wrong?

Last night Our populace grew... collectively we realize that bullshit doesn't matter and that we have to take our heads out of our collective asses and be more, want, more, do much much more.

Then i declare you give your pride too easily... Pride is more that being patriotic, more than supporting our troops, more that wearing some 10 cent lapel pin. Pride is what gets most Americans up in the morning to fight for Whats right, Their Families, friends, country. When America Breaks Rules that America imposed on the world to begin with... There is nothing to be proud about there. When my father caught me stealing when i was a boy Did that stop him from being in my corner... no... did that stop him from fighting for me... no... did that stop him from loving me... no... Did that make him ashamed of me... yes and i still have not forgotten how that felt.... Pride is earned... and America for the last 8 years has not earned much at all. -edited beyond this point- Furthermore black people in this country... especially the black middle class of this country have a drive a need pushed upon use by society and our parents and their dreams for us that we have to do better and we have to want more. 2 generations of that mindset has lead to a generation of Black Americans that aren’t impressed by normal we want extraordinary out of ourselves our community and our country. that being said can you really look at how this country has been represented for the last 8 years... was it Americas absolute best, was it an extraordinary model for the world to follow. In case you’re struggling... the answer is no!.... We have to want more and expect more from ourselves, our country, and our leaders. Do not give your pride freely make it worthwhile, make sure whatever you give your pride to is worthy of the power that it represents.

Yessir .... i Love this country... and for me thats saying alot... i mean i always knew i lived in the best country on earth... but i aver really felt at home... like Whoppie said on the view... "i feel as though i can finally put my suitcase down".... That is so powerful... I Love America...
