Ms. K, careful with the sonic slushees. I love them but found out the calories range up to 600 calories for a Rt 44! The slush mix has sugar, even if you cut your strawberries in half. http://m.sonicdrivein.com/Content/downloads/SonicNutritionGuide.xls

I am hooked on Chobani FF Plain Greek Yogurt. I flavor it with either SF DaVinci or Torani Syrups, or Mio, Crystal Light or Dasani drops. The flavors are endless and you can make them sweet or not so sweet depending on your tastes. It's high in protein, and you're not adding any calories or carbs by flavoring it.

Hi guys!! I was sleeved on June 26th and am 7 1/2 weeks post op. I have all the same complaints, the pain in the chest, the feeling water gives that it doesn't want to go down (which I feel like I can tolerate a lot more now as long as its cold) and the full feeling. So I'd like to share with you a few things that get me through (although I haven't been able to get in the required 64 oz fluids and 60 g. protein every day) I like to drink the frozen strawberry slushees from sonic, I ask them to only put half the flavoring (witch has real strawberries in it) . I then bought a large bag of ice chips from them for 1.99. I now fill a large glass with the chips and I add water and chrystal light to flavor. I enjoy drinking it and eating the ice at the same time a couple times a day. Greek yogurt, I eat that for breakfast and sometimes for a snack at the end of the day. I also eat string cheese as a snack. If I am eating regular food, which I do do maybe once a day, I HAVE TO EAT SLOW!!!!!!!!!! When I don't, I get that same horrible feeling in my chest, and it sucks cause eating slow is not one of my stronger points! I mean, we cant eat much at all, so I eat what I feel my sleeve can hold, and about 65% of the time I get that feeling. It lasts for maybe 30minutes to an hour and I don't throw up or feel the need to, I just feel full up to my neck. I enjoy chicken and fish because I know I'm getting protein in, btw I haven't drank a protein shake in probably a month...I know, what can I say...anything that wasn't cold wasn't happening. I was able to drink 1/2 of the shake then it got room temp, and my sleeve didn't like room temp! Its a lot better now though. I feel almost normal and the only time I don't feel normal is when I'm eating around people. Hope I could help a bit, and good luck!!

    Hi There
I was operated on 23July so also early days for me.
I have resorted to juicing watermelon to get fluid in and also need to pace myself with this.
I know there is sugar in but one needs to be hydrated.
I also cannot tolerate everything but keep trying.
I really chew and chew and this is the only way I do not get the pain, like somthing scratching down my spine.
I also get the same feeling if the sip of fluid is more like a swallow.
You have not done too bad with the weight and your body is possibly slowing down due to the lack of nutrition. Do you still do shakes?
I at least try to have one in the morning. Also frustrated as I had the week 3 stall that everyon talks about, however I have lost 30 pounds.
We will just need to keep going and try not to resent the discomfort that is temporary.
I found watching the sleeve stories on you tube enormously helpful as there is always someone that has experienced the same issues and has found a solution.
Good luck, will keep an eye on your journey as we are all in this together.
